    This is going to SUCK.

Well, I started a great new job, close to home with great pay, as a parts specialist for a major forklift service/dealer. But, things have come to an end with the girlfriend, and now Im going to be moving back in to my brother's townhouse. I won't have a scrap shop anymore... Gonna have to put all my tools and buckets and motorcycle in my grandmother's basement until I can save enough $$$ for my own place with a garage.
Its going to be really tough for me to not actively scrap, as it's my hobby. I suppose i will just dump my attention into my new job and saving money. I also reckon Im going to turn in my non ferrous that i have been hoarding and saving for a rainy day.
Sooooo not looking forward to this. Anyway, wahwahwah, I know.

They dont care about my facebook or anything such as that, they just dont want to be mentioned... not sure if SMF counts, but, to err on the side of caution, Ill leave the companies name out of it.

Or can't talk about them online. Lots of companies do it now a days. Makes me all the glad I work for myself. Shell is that way down in the Oil Patch I hear in Tx from friends working there. Lots of retail places are doing it now to. An of course, schools, and well all kinds of businesses. Crazy world we're living in.

Hope all gets better with ya Voodoo. As NH said, no need to stop, just stop, look anew an adapt man. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, an all that.

    This is going to SUCK.

I recently read that 25% of women nowadays are taking medication to stabilize mental health. This worries me, because it means 75% is running around untreated!!!
Im sure i will figure something out, Im just not gonna have my little scrap cave retreat, and its one of those places with a homeowners assoc. so theyll probably complain if im out there beating things to bits in the back of my truck with a bat...

Why do you have to leave?? Did you look into a small storage locker? Sorry for the upheaval.

    This is going to SUCK.

She has some honest mental health issues, not the old "all females are crazy type", its been a rough road but I stuck by her through it, but in the end her patterns repeat themselves and there can be no reconciliation. Im not being kicked out, she even said she would go stay with her dad, but its her house, so its best to leave.

That whole 25%-75% deal is just plain funny...way to keep a smile and good luck.

And I can relate to the whole mentioning company name thing. My boss doesn't allow it either...oh wait that's me.

i reckon you must dump your time in your job and grow as fast as you can this is the only way you can have your own garage and start scrapping again.
well! all i can say is best of luck with your new job

    Voodoo,

Sorry to hear about the relationship troubles and hope everything works out in the end. I second the notion about looking into a storage unit, then you don't have to store the tools at grandma's. Another idea is to check craigslist to see if anyone is renting out a garage in your area. If you find the right deal you may be able to rent a 1 - 2 stall garage with electric cheaper than a storage locker. Just think of it that your paying for motorcycle storage with a free work space to scrap.

You'll get everything back on track I'm sure. Meanwhile, if you have to think small, electric forklifts are a good source of silver. The contacts in them are pretty big pieces of solid silver. Maybe you'll get to be the guy to replace all of those.

Thanks to all you guys and gals, I'm sure it'll be okay in the end. Sometimes I wonder if I was missing out on things while I was busy taking other things apart, but either way, I have free storage for my bike and my tools. It's just that I'm gonna miss my little haven of metal and Heavy Metal...
Pnut, I'd love to get to be their scrap guy, actually probably couldn't handle it all at this time. But three weeks in, I don't wanna start asking about their scrap, some companies view it as theft, which I don't qualify for. Maybe when I get settled in, I can talk to the boss and see if they pay someone to remove it, Idunno.
Just goin through the motions, and figgered I'd cry on y'alls shoulder, since noone else seems to know what breaking things means to me

Sorry about your situation, Voodoo. It's not just women! Some people don't appreciate the joys of smacking things to itty bitty bits and making cash money.

    Congrats on the new job!

Would your wonderful grandma let you do some destruction in her basement?
