When You Reply To A Post...

SMF Members: When You Reply To A Post... do you find that you have to type very S-L-O-W-L-Y in order not to have letters skipped or omitted?

I usually have to type my reply in Notepad & then paste it in.

This happens on New Posts too, only not as bad.

I type very slowly with one finger so I've never had a problem!

I'm not noticing any problem. Maybe your keyboard?
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I need to use CCleaner a lot here, still many times the insert link and photo toolbar icons don't show, but when they're not available I just post the link and let it be at that

    Spin,

I came across this issue a week or so ago when I was fiddling with my settings on SMF. It could be your text editor in SMF is set to "enhanced interface- full WYSIWYG editing". I tried that and it slowed the whole entering of text down just like you indicated.

Here's how to get to that spot:

Go to "settings" on your SMF main page. (Make sure you're logged in)
Look for "My settings" column on the left hand side of the page.
    Select "my account- general settings"
Go right to the bottom of this page.
You should see "Misc options", and part way down it you will see "message editor interface"
You will probably see that you are set to "enhanced interface-full WYSIWYG editor". Change this setting to "basic editor" or "standard editor-extra formatting controls". I use the "standard editor" choice.

    Hope this helps,

    Jon.

No issues here Spin, I'd says it's the Crown, or if you want it to sound all smart, go with Saw's explanation. lol.

Far as typing with one finger..my nana, calls that hunt an peck typing. Only way she can do it. lol. She also turns it into a dirty joke, but hey..you can figure that part out on your own.
