Doesn't matter which way it comes from, still came from the taxpayers. That's why I can't get excited over a governor trying to get "federal money". They still took it from me.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
Well, might as well make the ads funny-- brings back memories of the Cheech and Chong movies.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the long term with dope becoming legal there. Will crime rates change, akin to the end of prohibition?
Jon.
If they think they have drunk driving under control... there opening a new chapter
lol...now that's funny, but agree on the waste of money. Then again..commonsense isn't so common. Look at all the people who still drink and drive despite the ads against it.
Far as a new chapter..People been driving an smoking for years already. I doubt there will be a huge increase. The people who smoked before, know better for the most part, especially when dealing with medical grade marijuana. The new ones, will learn to walk to get their doritios. Now..drive through lines might get longer...All those people with the munchies. Good lord, a run on french fries!
I joke yes, but..really it's been here for years. California and other places have had it decriminalized, or for medical use now for awhile. No huge spikes in these places, lest that I've herd about, far driving high, etc.
It'll stop people from dealing with the illegal side of things in regards to this, an likely have a decrease on drinking. Yey for munchies, boo to hangovers. Ha ha! Anyhow..the war didn't work with keeping it away from people, so..lets try something not as costly. I think we'll be surprised.
Just my two cents, use it for a slice of pizza.
Sirscrapalot - You want to smoke, great! Stay away from my chips tho.
I heard on the news today that a barber shop is refusing to serve those that come in just after smoking because of the stink...makes me wonder how long before someone files suit from either side.
If any of you guys are looking for cheap entertainment, go to Denver Craigslist under Health and Beauty or Farm and Garden and you can see how the Black Market is still thriving and probably cheaper then the shops due to taxes. Guys think that they are being legal by accepting donations instead of charging.
The voters spoke and I respect that, I'm just glad my wife and I had a good 20+ years to try and influence our kids first...I did enough testing for all of them.
Keep posting the ads...They crack me up.
You guys are the guinea pig for it on this level.
Bet happy hour just got real entertaining in WA and CO.
Sirscrapalot - I had a quote,but I forgot it. - See what I did there. Ha HA!

For those who know me well.....I would rather deal with a person high on weed rather than a drunk. Never had a person get weed muscles on the street...now beer muscles is a very different story.
My opinion for what its worth....leagalize marijuana, tax it and put the taxes back into the infrastructure of the country. Fix the highways and bridges and create jobs to get the work done!!!!
I'll take two of those carry out buckets Cory.

How much tax revenue well legalization generate? Hint: MILLIONS! Pot sales for one county (Pueblo) is nearly $1 million "Fox News" is reporting. One store sold half million alone and had Tommy Chong as a customer! I love it and want it here in California.
I was reading an article an they were throwing around billions. Found this article tho from The New York Time an they say they expect 100 million off this first batch of taxes. If I'm reading the article right. They of course plan to put the money to ads steering kids away (I'm ok with this, we do it with beer, and tobacco),substance abuse programs, public health, and law enforcement.
Here's a link. Sure there are plenty more, but this one was first, an had a date of 2.20.2014

Big celebration in Nederland, CO this weekend where they keep a dead dude on ice hoping to find a cure someday, for what ails him. Hopefully the local convenience store has stocked up on Doritos and Ho Ho's.
Frozen Dead Guy Days
Everybody keeps talking about pot & doritos, pot & doritos, pot & doritos... Pshhh. Back in the day when I was an active toker, I recall that cottonmouth made me crave those flavor-ice pops MUCH more so than a buncha dry corn chips!

I think legalizing pot, which is about bad as drinking, is good. You want "green" jobs ? There you go! Plus your supporting domestic growing, not some cartel grown pot. No more out sourcing on the pot ! I hope it's soon to be nation wide on legalizing it.
