Not all cars should be scrapped

1992 pre-production, V-10 Viper, with VIN #4. Presumably it can hit about 600 mph.

Chrysler wants the car sent to a crusher.

Probably doesn't have a cat, but I suppose it "could" be scrapped anyway.

That doesn't make any sense, surely Chrysler has a museum or collectors room.

Edit: that's what I get I read the article after I posted, it still doesn't make any sense but they have their reasons.

Dodge Vipers to be destroyed - chicagotribune.com

Millions loss due to auto situation is small to a large company.
I feel it because Dodge Chrysler is now owned by Fiat .
Dodge Chrysler is not an American company there is no American pride of past autos by Dodge Chrysler
I think they would rather just snuff out the truth of one of the first production American cars to kick butt on Ferrari
The corvette at the time was a power house , But the viper was a very forward auto for the price . It also had looks to die for.

It is some thing to ponder See all us Americans just go our way day in and day out . One day years from now America will look the same but maybe owned by many foreign companies . They will po po our past with no concern.
Clearly all the donated vipers they have could be sold in excess of any insurance burden from the 2 bad apples.

Shame on you Fiat your true colors have finally shown to us Americans

If you look up recalls on autos you will see there are many auto recalls , Personal Injury and Wrongful Death ,
    it's kept hush hush
doors fall off seat belts snap . car company's deal with it.

The Viper , this is a personal vendetta

They are all being crushed by a few dumb people. These where pre built cars that didnt have emission and didnt pass safety stuff.
But a few guys somehow drove a couple of them and wrecked it and since it was a pre-built car chrysler was getting sued by a few different people so they decided to crush them all which i cant blame them.

Oh I'd "Destroy it" alright It would make it's way onto a trailer in the middle of the night and end up in a shipping container headed overseas for 7 figures.. I'm sure I could find a car close to size and body style, take it to the yard.. mangle it and send them a picture as proof the Viper was destroyed!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

I believe Fiat owns Ferrari Regardless Id like to them crush the first Fiat's in production . I remember them suckers

The owner of Fiat did save Dodge Chrysler and gave them the perfect launch pad for there cars in USA
