Big free score! Big Green Egg!

We went to the county fair last weekend. I registered at a booth to win a big green egg. Only place I actually threw my name into. I got a call yesterday that I won it. Picked it up today.

Now I just have to figure out what to cook on it first.

I used to do competition BBQ. This may get me interested again. You can cook anything on a big green egg from low temp BBQ to high temp pizza or steaks. Very good temperature control.

They are awesome parrot. A friend of mine did a 22lb turkey on it one Thanksgiving and it was the best turkey I ever tasted. You can modify them in all different ways. Enjoy and post a pic when you do your first bbq with it.

Grilled turkey is awesome. An no worries over setting the house on fire an he neighbors...like with frying. Saw some people who shouldn't ever be allowed near a fryer with a turkey last year. Let us just say...the fire dept wasn't happy with them. lol.

I'm coming to Parrot's for green eggs an ham! Woot! Will there be green beer or do I need to pack some in the cooler?

Sirscrapalot - Misses the St.Paddy green eggs an beer in dc, put on by dc 101. aka kegs an eggs!

We'll find him...head to fl. an start sniff for same good bbq in his area. Find green egg, introduce self, watch him run away with the bbq an lock himself in.

    A fine score.
