These drugs aren't very powerful. Recooperating from 4 wisdom teeth being extracted.

This is a , let's shoot the S*** thread. Post any random thoughts or whatever. Might reduce some new thread for a random questions, by the ask and dash crowd.

Also, getting ready for race season. I'm just a spectator, and part time pit crew... for now. anywhere from 12-18 shows a year.

wisdom teeth was the worst misery I've ever been in. I remember playing on Gameboy for 8 hours or so after rhat. I couldn't focus on anything else. I feel for you.

Pulling wisdom teeth in adults is just torture. Mine had grown into my jaw and required two grown men five hours to tear them out. It was awful.

And then the Dry Socket thing afterwards...that misery went on for weeks.

    You have my sympathy.

Poor guy!! Anything to do with teeth isn't very much fun. Just had a friend get ALL his teeth out--he's over 60--and he was down for the count for at least 3 weeks. And to top it all off, they rammed the new falsies in his mouth right after the last tooth came out. Just be glad that you aren't living in the '50's or '60's...with those old drills that were driven with long string type round belts. I still remember my first time in the chair--the dentist had one of those Frankenstein like contraptions and I was 5 years old and scared as h*ll. Thank god he had an air drill and used it!! But I hated dentists until I was 30!! Now I just don't enjoy them!!

By the way, are you an EIT on your way to become a PE? I'm a mech.

And whats the story behind your screen name? Mine isn't very original--spent 40 years in the sawmill game as an engine-ear.

    Jon.

Oh, that's young then! So the actual pulling part wasn't that bad, I guess. Be glad you had it done now.

As for the clots, don't drink from a straw, mainly. They probably told you that.

When I was 21 I went to a place in North Carolina and had all my teeth pulled out in one sitting. Went in at 2:00am and had the imprestions made, went back at 6:00am and had to wait until about 2:00pm. They pulled all 28 reg. teeth and 4 wisdom teeth in about 20min. 64 shots of novocaine, 2 shots for each tooth, Then put the dentures right away. When I left it felt like my whole head was the size of a balloon. It was about 2 months before I could eat solid foods and about 6 months before I could eat meat. I havn't been back to a dentist sence and I'm 62 now.

64 shots of novocaine? That's got to be a near-lethal dose!

Did you also get the laughing gas? I like the laughing gas...

When I had my teeth pulled for dentures, the so-called surgeon had his so-called operating room right next to his waiting room. He put me under for the extraction. I don't know if it was from pain or what but as I was coming out of it, I was yelling. He said I was so loud, I disturbed the other patients in the waiting room. I was asked to never come back. I reported the request to my dentist who considered it very unprofessional.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Dentist - The polite way saying master of torture. Anyone who can daily bust out a 1 foot needle an smile as he tells you it won't hurt, has a special place waiting for them in a very hot place.

Jus' saying. (an yes I'm teasing...don't get upset dentist lovers)

Laughing gas is awesome. Had it one time in 82 when I had a crown put in. I had my top wisdom teeth pulled in 85 when I was 21. I went to an oral surgeon and his name was Dr. Coxx.

CANNOT stand the dentist... no idea why. Never a bad experience, nothing traumatic, I just really really hate the dentist!

One time on laughing gas I sincerely told the dentist's wife that she was a "very nice lady."

I never say things like that. I'm not very social, mostly, unless I'm drinking.

I was recently on the gas for some fillings, they had tv's in the ceiling.

I told them to "leave me alone and just do their work. I'll let you know if you're hurting me"

they laughed for about 10 minutes it seemed

Also, selling some diesel out of my dodge I'm parting out, and getting some other crap out of my garage. Yay!

tore about 50 keyboards apart tonight, only have about a dozen more to go.

did 30 something mice too... in 2 hours. I think that was cooking, might have been the beer. Been drinking Yeungling tonight

The goal tomorrow is to process enough scrap tomorrow to fill my trailer up and get to my quad. I need to fix that up so I can use it later in the month for a weekend long memorial party at one of my buddies houses.

That happened to me. They put me under to pull one of my wisdom teeth, I guess I was screaming my head off. Scared the sh*t out of the patients in the waiting room my mom told me later.

I didn't remember it, thought they were joking when I was told about it.
