    Want this guys Job!

Watching Anthony Bourdain's "Parts Unknown" tonight and would like to have his job. I like to travel, eat and drink, the more exotic and out of the way is all the better for me. I often adventure in foods most will not try or even think about, sometimes it helps if you like the drinking part. Takes a lot of San Miguels in the Philippines to try a Balut (fermented developing embryo served in the egg). Been places where I didn't even know what I was eating, A good hint when there's no dogs around, just tell yourself it's rabbit or chicken and have another drink. Will have to acquire Bourdain's culinary skills to get a gig like he has, until then only dreaming.

Do what I did join the the U.S. Marines. They pay you to travel to smelly places, drink the local hooch, eat mystery meat(in the Philippines we called it monkey meat, more likely it was dog).

I have often wondered how popular those travel shows would be if they included "Smell-A-Vision" where you would be forced to smell some of these locations.

My favorite food destinations are Greece and Korea. Mike.

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked

Mike did that Navy 76 to 83 and did Subic City (LBFM's) among many more, Then a career in the Airlines, I was kinda of looking for a better travel pay LOL! You are probably right about "Smell A Vision" for most, I call it flavoring. With "Smell A Vision" you don't have to go far though Fried Squirrel in Arkansas or Chitlins in North Carolina will do that just fine.

Most of us are blessed, when hungry just minutes from our favorite fast food place. We can dine out on the best tasting foods from around the world. Run to the nearest supermarket, grab a cart and go aisle after aisle filling the cart. That is not the way it is in most parts of the world. Even in our own countries some don't have it so easy, yes even today people will be grateful for whatever they have to eat. So tonight I'll bar b-q, happy and grateful, but if I was in a far off place sharing a meal with others, I will be just as grateful.
