We where all imperial up here until the 60s or 70s im pretty sure! Could be wrong. Isnt the US one of the only countrys left that still uses imperial if not the only one? Pretty sure europe and stuff is metric. Again could be wrong!

Edit: whats really frustrating is our MTO/DOT uses both Lbs and Kg on ownerships/paperwork. The GVWR is in lbs on the door sticker, but its in KG on my ownership. PICK ONE lol

Don't say DOT to me. That's a dirty word. Lol. Do you have a lbs to metric conversion app on your phone? That would help a lot. Btw it's 32F or 0C here in SD right now. Sun is shining and it snowing.

Going for 89 F. or 31.666666666666668 C. Temp. here in sunny Southern Cal. Conversions was not a problem for me in Canada. Directions another thing altogether. Asking: How do you get to 19A gets you to just 19. So if you want 19A, It's 19A Aey?

Same here... I cant stand the ministry of transportation. But Nah I just know 1kg is 2.2lbs. Nobody uses KG up here. Everything is mostly in pounds. Getting snow out here tonight

One thing you have to watch for In Canada many of the scrap yards quote per ton, but they are quoting a metric ton

I think it was the late 70s/early 80s when the switch was implemented, but I'm not sure.

The US never used the "imperial" system, really. Before you guys switched to the metric system, for instance, an imperial gallon was 5 quarts, but a US gallon was 4. Most everything else was pretty much the same that I can remember.

And yes, we are the only country that I am aware of that has held out against converting to the metric system.
