    I agree with Jimicrk, most people put thiere trash on Craigs list because they are too lazy to take it to the dump.

    I'm one of those people that put their trash on craigslist for free, but it's not because I'm lazy. Why waste gas in hauling an ugly old beat up stained mattress to the dump and then have to pay a fee to the dump to get rid of it when someone else will just come to you and take it! Or even better sometimes even PAY YOU for it. Saves time, gas and money! That's a win all the way around

    I don't do the curb thing though. Once in a while wouldn't be a big deal but I get so much junk with all the auctions I do that my neighbors would probably start complaining if I was always putting stuff out on the curb. Plus I don't really like people from craigslist knowing where I live. Luckily I have a storage unit that's a mile down the road so I just always direct people there.
