    Grilling out tomorrow! Give me some of your favorites!

    As the title says, we're having a little cook out here tomorrow. The weber will be fired up, the cooler stocked with ice an beverages. I'm looking for some new items to try out on the grill, mainly side dishes, but Hey..share your favorites for the grill!

    I'm not picky, mind you. Just nothing that requires, a smoker, or other addition. I'm using charcoal, so stuff that can only be done with propane wont work for me. Straight up charcoal grilling at it's finest. I know you all have your favorite dishes, so share them with me, an the rest of the world!

    Like I said above, just wanting to try some new things out. I can always do the standards..potato's, corn on the cob, etc...but I want something different. Yea I could google up ideas/sites, but hey..I like you people more then I do the rest of the internet.

    Thanks, an if I go with any suggestions here, I"ll let you all know how they turn out!

    Hope the weather is good for the rest of you, so you can do the same, an if not...know that I'm enjoying a burger, the sun, some beer, an good company for you till you can.

    Halloumi cheese. Add it to a burger, or replace the burger with it. Or eat it by itself!

    ....There will be no replacing of the burger Ryan! I will keep the cheese in mind tho!

    Replacing a burger..thats..just..not..right.

    It's also bike week here. (motorcycles! VRROOOM!) Well the end of it anyhow.

    Broccoli and cauliflower wrapped in aluminum foil. Add a few scoops of butter, some salt and pepper, and of coarse cheese on top at the end.
    I must throw this in for my burger. 3/4 lb of beef for the bottom. Form it in the shape of a small bowl. Fill with green olives, black olives, onions, or anything else u want. Then take another 3/4 lb beef patty for the top. A wonderful stuffed burger. Gotta run to the store now, u made me hungry for them.

    Salted up pork loin,smoked between 180-220. Smoke for 4.5 to 5 hours until internal temp reaches 145. Wrap in foil then I wrap mine in a thick beach towel,temp will still climb before beginning to cool. We usually leave resting loin in towel for 30 minutes. Okay now you done it am hankering for some pork!

    I take pearl onions, douse them with lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Wrap them in foil and put them on the side of the grill. Makes a good side!

    Wife and I like Skewer some shrimp, cherry tomatoes, green peppers onions on a stick. Have fun with your BBQ

    +1 on what everyone else said...between this and Cory's thread I'm always hungry now.

    I smother my burgers in Quebec steak seasoning , toast my bun . Topp with mango chutney and Dijon mustard . I usually go with pepper jack but any cheese will compliment this burger. The seasoning makes a crusty shell around the burger that is amazing for creating a nice juicy center . Hope all goes well at the BBQ !
    Maybe it's a Maryland thing but cheddar cheese and crab dip end up on top of my burgers quite often as well .

    Atomic buffalo turds:

    Jalapeno peppers- cut of top core out and de-seed.

    Filling- Mix cream cheese and crab meat. Fill jalapenos 3/4 with filling (can ad touch of cayenne if you really want to torture yourself)

    Wrap- Wrap the stuffed jalapenos with bacon of choice. (use tooth picks to hold bacon on)

    Grill the jalapenos standing upright(they actually make holder for them now) till the bacon is done

    Use a lower hit (indirect for best results)

    I will always use a charcoal grill, I will never succumb to the societal pressures of a gas grill, bleh.

    I'm adding all these for the rest of the year. lol.

    Ended up doing potato skins on the grill. I've done packets, fries, etc, but never done potato skins. Good eatings. Went great with the coolers. Yes we had more then one.

    A good time was had, several (ok more) beer cans are now added to my can bag, an I'm fatter. So...

    Keep them ideas coming in, never know who may need some new ones. Thanks again folks!

    I keep it simple: ribeye, not tooooo think... stab the #e!! out of it with a fork, flip & repeat. Couple dashes of worcestershire, and small dash of garlic powder and a couple shakes of lemon pepper. Get the grill hot as you can, throw steaks on to sear. Drop temp to 350ish, flip once. Remove at just between medium rare & medium. Side dish of a big honkin ( ) baked tater with waaaay too much butter and an MGD. Makes an auminer happy.

    potato packets.

    Slice up potatos and onions, put mounds of each on a square of tin foil, add butter, an ice cube and salt and pepper. Fold up and seal the packets and cook them on the grill. my mom used to make these when we were kids in the oven but they come out delish on the grill and they don't take long, maybe half hour to cook through. No plate needed, open the packet and eat right out of it.

    If you want to make a meal out of them you can add chicken and cut up peppers also.

    I had grilled bacon wrapped shrimp at a restaurant a while ago that I definitely want to try making myself some time.

    Don't know if I should dare to mention the "S" word (as in "salad"), but grilled Halloumi with some nice greens, fresh mint or dill, and grapes is amazing. Put lemon juice, olive oil, and a little ouzo on it. Mmmm. It can be tricky to find Halloumi, though. I usually get it at a Greek grocery store near me.

    These are mandatory at our cookouts except no ice cube? and add oregano or rosemary.

    our specialty is slow roasted pork ribs, in a crock pot- bbq sauce, apple juice, and water (for 6 hours minimum) then sear them up on the grill high heat
    previously mentioned potato packet
    corn on the cob, cooked in husk
    and of course ice cold beverages

    NH...get out of my head! That's how the wife makes her ribs.

    An yes packets are awesome. When I did my camping around Az, packet meals were a given at dinner time with a campfire.

    And FL...I forgive you, mainly cause..I dig a regular old salad.
