Me and my friends were housesitting one weekend and they had a marathon on. Friend had 2 big dogs plus a keg fridge that he said we could empty out as payment! Anyway, it was the first any of us ever heard of the show and probably saw dozens of episodes that weekend while emptying the keg (which was almost full to start!). That was back before "binge watching" became a thing.
Actually since we have some fans here I have a Junkyard Wars action figure of the Hovercraft for sale on
ebay! Any takers? I only have 3 left! haha.
Back to the topic, I can't think of a movie right now, but there was an episode of Shark Tank where a lady said she scrapped aluminum to help start funding her other business. She said her brother or someone she knew worked with windows and they gave her the torn out aluminum windows. This of course impressed the sharks, especially Mark Cuban and I think she got a deal.
