How's this for Thrift Store "AU" mining...

I went to a local thrift store's 50% off clearance sale after work yesterday. I was looking for pants but only found a pair of shorts I liked and then grabbed my son and myself t-shirts and a hat that reads "GREEN MACHINE" in green letters (sweet for a recycler, right?). All told, I spent $10.05. I usually check the pants out but was in a rush so I did when I got home; while checking to see if they had thick material for the pockets (I hate holy pockets) I find something wadded up in the corner...pull it out...IT'S A TWENTY! SCORE!

So I got paid $9.95 to take a pair of shorts, 2 shirts, and a hat!

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR POCKETS BEFORE YOU WASH!

Nice find! Seems to always make my day when I find hidden cash. Unfortunately I have yet to come across anything in pockets and I get ALOT of clothes. I still go through them but man does it get tedious and boring (and kinda nasty some times). Hopefully I score soon as well, then it won't be so bad.

It's always a good idea to check EVERYTHING you can! When I was a kid I hid money inside of my encyclopedia books, so now I flip through every single book I get. Just had a chess set game that wasn't worth anything so to my yard sale it goes, but before I put it there I checked inside to make sure it was all there and what do I find...a Jack Daniels playing card set that's been selling on ebay for $25! People hide things in the oddest places sometimes.

I was seriously tempted to go back and start searching every pocket...
