Please say a prayer for my Auntie

I just got word that my Auntie is in the hospital with CHF. Her legs were so swollen they burst. This is the auntie I have been taking care of her yard and house after my uncle passed away. She's the one I told you about that gave me all of my uncle's tools and mowers and other things because she said he wanted me to have them before he died.

I love her so much and want her to be ok but, given her age and other ailments....I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Please say a prayer for her tonight

    *Update

Aunt Olga passed away Wednesday. The funeral is Tuesday. I'm having a hard time with this as she was the last of that generation and ....guilt, guilt because even though I spent lots of time with her in between scrapping and my real life daily issues cleaning her house, doing her yard work and taking her out to eat and scrapping with me (though she just loved looking at the houses lol) it just wasn't enough at the end and I didn't make it out there before she went to Hospice what with my new job and just...life before she passed. It's killing me big time and even though I know she would tell me ''you are so busy it's no big deal'' I feel as if it is.

sigh, life sucks and the guilt is just eating away at me even though she was not aware the last 2 weeks, I can't help it

My condolences to you an yours NA. Sorry to hear about your Aunt's passing.

Far as the guilt goes, I think she would understand an be proud of you. Getting a job doing what you love, an sounds like she knew about your scrapping, I'd say she'd be proud of her Niece. It's never easy to say goodbye to loved ones no matter if it was expected or not. So don't feel guilty. She wouldn't want you to I'm sure, an now her an your uncle are back together. Likely looking down on you with a big smile on their faces while watching over you.

Instead of one guardian angel you now have two looking out for you. As Spin said you still have your memories of the time spent together over the years. An nothing can take those away.

Our loved ones who've left us, are only truly gone if we stop remembering them. I know it's hard but when that guilt, saddness, etc. Hit you, reach into your memory for something you loved to do with her, or did. You won't stop missing them but at lest you'll be doing it with a smile instead of guilt an tears.

Again my condolences to you and yours.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family, in this difficult time. I've had that guilt myself, in the past, and what Sir said is so true. There were a couple times I had a chance to see family, who live out of state, but because I was to "busy" with life I decided not. In both of these cases, my Aunt and Uncle passed away while my Mom was visiting. The guilt I felt was the same as you're probably feeling right now, but I choose to remember the times we shared, and the stories I remember as a homage to them. Don't get me wrong it doesn't happen overnight, but with time comes understanding and wisdom. If you need to chat sometime feel free to PM me and I'll send you my cell phone number. Even though I don't know you personally, If I can help in any way let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you're loved ones. Remember the times you shared and she will always live on in your heart. God Bless.

Thoughts and prayers to you, Cindy and I understand your feelings of guilt. I was the same way when Mom passed away in 2001. Although I spent as much time as I could with her, I still felt it wasn't enough.

As others have said, cherish your memories and the good times you had with her. They are what will keep you going.
