This is why I hate posting classified ads....

Have a great one for you guys tonight. Heres my ad:

I have a near mint 16GB iPad 2 with otterbox that I would like to trade for a Surface Tablet. Trade only. Surface Tablet only. Need something with a USB port.

    Email or text Jordan 705 *** ****

So I get a text from this guy. Goes like this:

    Guy: Still available
Me: Sorry, is what still available?
    Guy: ipad
    Me: Ohh, yes it is
    Guy: Willing to trade?
Me: Yes but only for a Microsoft Surface tablet. Need a tablet with a USB port.
    Guy: Oh nevermind

...........are you kidding me?! My ad is literally 3 lines. Simple and easy. Clearly he Didnt even read any of it. Trying to figure out what I should say to him if I decide to reply lol
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

I feel the same. Like ebay though it's a necessary evil for me. Lately I've been getting alot like this via text:

Guy: Do you still have the file cabinet. I'm interested in the Hon one and can pick it up today.
Me (literally less than 5 minutes later): Yes i do. I'm available any time today......
Then NOTHING!!! Never heard from them again. It's actually been happening quite a bit lately

No, not selling a pressure washer...he just assumed I had a washer and time at the ready to clean up an item that clearly states "selling in Found Condition".

I'm convinced that some people with nothing to do just like to haggle the populace for kicks. Others try to get you to send pics via email .....they must sell email addresses.

    My worst experience:
I advertised a horse for sale and a woman responded, wanted it and said to call her son. The son said he'd come but never did. Ran the ad again and same woman responded, said she'd be here at 1pm...a two hour drive for her. I suspected foulplay so I waited until 12:30 and reworded the ad (different price) and I'll be darned if she wasn't on the internet responding to my ad saying she needed a horse. Of course she never did arrive to get the horse. I then wrote to 4 or 5 people who were advertising horses for sale, alerting them to her tricks and said that I didn't think this particular woman was "very serious about buying a horse". Wouldn't you know it........ I got an email saying that "I don't think you're very interested in selling a horse". SHE was one of the people I alerted.

I had an acquaintance in the same town she was from and I was told she was a nutcase. People just get their kicks in funny ways.

I must say that with all the talk on this forum about how newbs get treated on the gold refining forum, I have been tempted once or twice to log on there and play the complete idiot, just to see what happens.

Nah man you don't wanna do that
there good people in a SERIOUS business.
you'd just get banned and any possible chance of future business over there would be ruined.
don't wanna burn bridges you have never even crossed.
It's better to read the newb threads anyways, they do get slaughtered before permanently banned
