I'm not much of a gambler, though I do like to watch a good horse run! Bring it back to California, go California Crome go go go!
I have #5. Ride On Curlin taking the victory with #2. California Chrome coming in second and #4. Commanding Curve coming in third.
California Chrome is a "blue collar" horse owned by two working couples of modest backgrounds. They formed a partnership called "DAP" for Dumbass Partners. We will soon know if this working horse makes history.
I'd vote for Chrome just cause the owners got moxy. lol.
I like it..DAP..ha ha!
Thanks Burt!

And I gave you the winner, #11 makes a nice sandwich 20.00 for every two and I bet a few few two dollars.
We have a winner "1956" Congratulations you must follow the ponies!
So the winner hasn't raced in the two previous races and was well rested?? I don't follow the ponies but am curious how that works.

"Give them enough so they can do something with it, but not too much that they won't do nothing."
I read the same. Owner of Chrome wants it changed so that only those who race in the first 2 big ones, get to race this one.
Something about no triple crown winners anymore unless they change it. Who knew such drama existed in the world of horse racing.

I have a saying "I'm all in, just tell me rules of the game and I'm a player" What ever the rules are, those are the rules period. Sure they can be changed. It would have been horse racing history had California Chrome won. Adding that name to the few great horses (Secretariat, Citation, Omaha, Seattle Slew to name a few) would have been great. Even better if he had beat those rested and fresh horses. I like it when the underdog overcomes all odds and wins. That is what makes all sports great.
