Yea wife told me about it. LOL

I told you he wasn't welcome back or liked down here.

There's a reason he's in Myrtle Beach an not here with the rest of the news crews. 12 checked in last night at the wife's hotel. Heh.

It's getting windy, an the temp has dropped.

Stay tuned for the blow by blow account...maybe.

Sirscrapalot - Off to figure out dinner before it gets real.

Why all the hate for Cantore? What'd I miss? Other than being more of a blowhard than most of the storms he covers, what's with the hate?

How do I put this nicely...he was kind of a **** the last few times he was down here. Rude to the locals, rude to the cops/em. services that pulled his butt of NC 12 during Sandy an saved him from being a statistic(Three channels were formed during sandy right on thru NC 12 like it wasn't even there). When I say kind of..I'm being nice. Typical celeb. Think they are more important then they are.

Same with Al Roker. Plays the happy fat guy on TV but in person? He came across like a diva. Was rude to everyone not from his station last time he was here. Rude to staff, locals, guests.

Both are a couple windbags far as I'm concerned.

Weather update: Still nothing tho we keep hearing soon, soon. Cops were riding down the beach road earlier saying something on the intercom. More folks sticking around then I thought would from the tourist side. Some are cool, some are acting the fools. Can't win'm all.

Got run out now one last time before it all goes to hell, forgot to grab the dogs food at my last stop.

Come visit after the storm Auminer! Tunes an cooler will be ready as always.

Check back in a bit, every one have a good weekend if i lose power before I can wish ya'll one!

Sirscrapalot - Got everything but the dog food. Doh!

Ha ha! Enjoy the leftovers! Hopefully it didn't ruin your fireworks! I herd Boston had rescheduled their Boston Pop's(?) event for this past Thursday, instead of risking the rain on Friday.

I reckon it's weakened a lot if it's up around Mass.

Arthur was a rude holiday guest. He's not invited back last year.

Oh an hey...NC made the history books, from what the wife was telling me. Earliest land fall for a hurricane. We beat the old record by 7 minutes! It made land at like..10 of midnight, old record was midnight I believe.

I'll have to ask her again.

Sirscrapalot - Rain rain go away, but don't ruin another's Independence day. - Hey that rhymed..an yes I made that all up by myself.

add on to last post, sorry..

When I say earliest, I mean the first storm of the season. Seems it's a rare thing. Go figure.

Usually the first couple storms to form pass us, an we see them up close an personal in August and Sept. Don't think I've had the joy of one so early in July before.

Sirscrapalot - Prepping to go watch fireworks.

Well I'm not going to do a lot of prep unless it intensifies and I am keeping an eye out for that. Best to all Mike

I use to live in jacksonville years ago. for about 6 years. it hurricane warnings sure would shut down the area. but thankfully never really saw any major damage during my time.
kind of miss onslow county. i went back a few years ago, that whole little strip near the walmart developed nicely since i was originally there. they walmart had only been there a year or two before i left.

What you talking about?? NH has 17 miles of beaches.

AND it's rumored to have the best surfing on the east coast (if you don't mind surfing New England in January)
