    Hurricane thread!

    The hurricane thread!

I'll use it for updates long as I can.

So the word is it's been upped to a category 2, but still only calling for winds of up to 75 for me right now. Worse part is expected to arrive in the wee hours of the morning. So looks like Friday will be a mess all day. Instead of only half of it! lol.

Weather details an stuff: Temps been dropping since around 6 pm. Was very humid all day, an hot, till 6. Went to dinner with the wife before she headed back to the hotel, when we came out you could feel the temp drop while we were eating. Right now at almost 12:30am, the rain just rolled in an the winds are picking up.

Will try an score some photos tomorrow from the beach of the ocean an all that good stuff.

    Update 1 = complete.

Sirscrapalot - Made it to the store in time for facemuncher food. yey.

I can't wait for beach pictures , something cool is sure to wash up . I told you to keep that storm down there earlier cause we have a lovely rain tax here in Maryland . Be safe . And it hope you find a old treasure chest washed up on the shore after the mess is over.

I might have to start farming to offset the rain tax lol

    Update 2! At 2 am...how..ironic.

Bands of rain passing through. High winds, but not to bad. Had to run down to the shop an made sure I grabbed everything up I had intended. Not to bad out, will get worse as the night goes on.

Calling for 5 to 7 inches of rain, winds tween 65-85, with gusts of 100mph at the height of the storm.

So far so good! One dog is at my feet the other is next to my chair, both snoozing.

Next update...I dunno. I"ll be up awhile. lol

An a picture..it's not mine, but I like it.

    3rd Update.

Eye is 19 nautical miles wide. It's currently working it's way towards Manteo/Roanoke Island. The radio is saying about 4 am for the eye to hit there. Which is about...maybe 15 miles or so from.

Saying winds an Rain will pick up even more over the next hour, an continue till the morning hours. I hopefully be passed out then. LOL

All clear! Coolers safe, Scrapper safe, facemunchers safe. Big thunderstorm, an less noise.

    No damage I'm aware of.

Now I am off to sleep, been a long day. :P

Happy 4th to you all, an a good weekend everyone. I know mine started with some excitement.

Hopefully you wake up and do not find yourself in a new houseboat. Let us know how you ride out the storm.
