    Question ...let's talk about fibreglass...

So, a big thing on my local Craigslist. FREE hot tubs! Sweet! I just got a fully operational 8 person, yay me!

So, with the demand for spa removals, I posted an ad. Big pumps and stuff, eh?

But I didn't really think it through... see, if it's functional, I can flip it.

    If not...

Well, I'm stuck with the shell.

    So..what do?

Any ideas on where I can move fibreglass?
I do not spew profanities; I enunciated them clearly, like a f***ing lady.

We got our hot tub free too! Needed a heater. Works beautifully. As for the fiberglass shell...Im really not sure if anyone buys or even takes it free, but if you find someone let me knows. Theres tons of fiberglass boats here with trailer for free. Id love the trailers but cant get rid of the boat...
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

Ha ha! Hot tubs are my bane. Due to living on a sandbar, all the houses are up on stilts. So every time someone posts a hot tub the **** thing is on the upper deck! Drives me freaking nuts. I want a hot tub..just not if i gotta carry it down a deck with some funky stairs!

Down here people toss the shells, or so they say in their ads. "Free hot tub! Works! Pick up by sunday or it goes to the dump!"

Find a buyer do let us know, tho I doubt they'll pay enough to make me bring the silly things down off these decks.

    Sirscrapalot - Rub a dub dub..a scrapper in a hot tub~! - I'm a poet an I didn't know it.

Find a dump near you and take them there. Or a buddy with a dumpster...cut them up.

Best Idea I ever saw was to flip it over and cut out a door to make it a doghouse and then use the height to create a planted area with a working water feature in the back yard, if done right it could be a pretty cool reuse for a big piece of junk. Course I have 2 brown thumbs, once killed a cactus so you'd have to find someone better with plants than me... Hope it helps.

Interesting it takes old fiberglass into "chop" that you can shoot into a mold for a new product. I would guess it would be usable by a manufacture that has errors in products making them unsaleable so they can reuse the fiberglass. Mike
