Aerial Video of RIP Sign I Mowed in the Hayfield

I haven't been on this site much lately. Been busy with my regular work, keeping up with my dad's work, and dealing with his health issues and passing. Therefore, I haven't had time to scrap, collect scrap, or read about scrap.

Anywho, I mowed a RIP sign for him in his hayfield and took an aerial video of it during his celebration of life party. He requested there to be no funeral or viewing, just this party, which was a great idea.

    Happy Birthday Dad!

In my mind he was young when he passed. I'm sorry for you loss but happy for you for all the folks who participated. Mike.

I THINK YOU DID GOOD! Celebrate life this is really what we all should do 24/7. Memorialize a life, is to honor those we have known, for the living to remember them (nothing wrong with that either). Celebrate those we care about, those that shared in our lives and we in theirs (keeps you in touch with the "spirit" of someone very special). A slab of granite in a field, that's to final for me. Get together, listen to some music, drink a cold one or what ever is pleasing. Life is good and we all do it are way!

I like how you celebrated your fathers life - The video. aerial, music and most important, that's how he wanted it! HIS WAY (you did good!)

i heard of the dji quadcopters! but kinda expensive. they cost just as much as an rc helicopter.
although i have heard good things about the dji phantom. i'm currently rebuilding a wrecked align t-rex 600N DFC nitro rc helicopter i bought off ebay for $150. a new kit normaly sells around $900 not including the radio or gyro system. anyway sorry to hear about your dad!

Reminds me of when my little brother passed, we all showed up to the funeral wearing Hawaiian shirts, flip flops and leis...

Like the vid, and I've always been more about the celebrating of the life, and less about the mourning the loss...

What a wonderful idea and you did a wonderful job! I'm sorry for your loss but it looks like you respected your dads final wishes.

    jbravo54 ---

The mowed sign, folks on it, and the video were a very moving tribute to your Dad. It was like your Dad was flying around looking at everyone, his house, farm, etc. My Dad passed away on July 24th and he would have been 86 on August 13th. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as well. Sounds like our dad's have similar dates, and we have gone, or going through this together.
