    Yea, scrapping them out would be awesome but the amount of gear, men power and the fuel...its a very costly deal. Even more so that the usa and other countries say you can't beach them due to damage to the beaches, wild life so you would need a dry dock for that size ship (again not cheap) that is why countries with poor government do most of the ship brake down...also helps that the labor rate is much cheaper.
