Cooking & eating the perfect steak,, one of this guys lifes pleasures

Got home tonight and just felt like a steak, I enjoyed it so much I wanted to share how to cook the perfect steak,
It starts with a nice tee bone, simply salt and pepper the piece of meat on both sides, allow the steak to reach room temperature, drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil on the steak, now the important part get your frying pan out and on high heat allow the pan to get very hot, once the pan is hot place the steak in the pan, you should hear the sizzling allow the steak to cook for four mins with out touching it you can see the steak changing color, after four mins, flip the steak over again allow the steak to cook with out touching it for four mins then when done with a set of tongs sear the sides to cook the little fat, I like mine medium well. Let's eat, I am sure you will more than enjoy the steak. Now a little red wine on the rocks.

NY strip steak. 1-1 1/2 inches thick. Take a sharp knife and stab it on both sides multiple times. Take 2-3 tablespoons of Montreal steak seasoning,1/2 cup of olive oil and 3/4 -1 cup of worceteshire sauce and mix in a bowl. Put steak in a tupperware and pour sauce mix in. Turn steak over so both sides get sauce. Cover and put in fridge for 2 hours turning steak over after first hour so sauce soaks in both sides. Grill to your liking. I like it medium with plenty of pink running through the middle. Enjoy!!!

I eat my steak coated in lard and grilled on high for about 4 min on the first side and three on the second. I also like the montreal seasoning and it room temp is a must. Any steak I cook will be 2 inches this insures a great med rare. After its off and before its resting I put a seasoned butter on top of it and let it rest.

Thanks 1956 - a steak sounds good for breakfast too right now.

For those that want to get more technical, and I've only done this a couple times just to try it. To get the perfect temperature for your steak:

Bring a large pot of water to the desired temperature using a thermometer. You can look up a chart online for what you want. Med, Med rare, med, etc...

Vacuum seal your steak with whatever seasonings you want on it or marinade it first, whatever. Put the steak in the water and keep the temperature constant. Something to keep the water agitating or stirring would help. Now, leave it in for awhile i forget how long maybe half an hour. You can't overcook it because the temperature is already set.

Take it out, save it for later, or oil it and put it in a pan or on a grill at the hottest you can get it. Just sear each side really quick and it's good to go.

Thank you for sharing your recipe for preparing a NY strip steak with a marinade made with Montreal steak seasoning, olive oil, and Worcestershire sauce. To summarize, the steps to prepare the steak using this recipe are as follows:

    1. Take a sharp knife and stab the steak on both sides multiple times.
    2. In a bowl, mix together 2-3 tablespoons of Montreal steak seasoning, 1/2 cup of olive oil, and 3/4 - 1 cup of Worcestershire sauce. If you are located in Saudi Arabia and are looking for a supplier of confectionery ingredients, there are several options available to you. Many international companies have a presence in the country, and there are also local suppliers who can provide a wide range of ingredients.
    3. Place the steak in a tupperware container and pour the marinade over it. Turn the steak over so that both sides are coated with the marinade.
    4. Cover the container and place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours, turning the steak over after the first hour so that both sides are exposed to the marinade.
    5. Preheat your grill to the desired temperature. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade.
    6. Grill the steak to your desired level of doneness, taking care to avoid overcooking it.
    7. Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your NY strip steak!
