Iv'e been a Dodger fan literally since I can remember, my dad took me to my first game in 1965. It was a game to never forget, Koufax pitched a no hitter against the Cubs! So the Dodgers and the Cubs have been in my brain since. I always liked to watch the Cubs, on TV here on the west coast, liked all those day games they had. Harry Caray was one of the all time great announcers and his famous 7th inning singing! I will always say Vince Scully is the best at calling a game, he always makes it seem like your at the ballpark. My brother and I actually met him at the old Astrodome and in person he's a class act!
So blue is my color for baseball, that's the Royals as well, so go K.C. Besides no honest Dodger fan would dare root for the Giants, not in my house anyway. This year I don't think they are underdogs and in post season play, it's been like a walk in the park so far!
I think K.C. can forget about sweeping the Giants as they have been there 3 out of last 5 years now. The two teams match up with almost identical regular season stats. Giants went 88 and 74, with Royals going 89 and 73, K.C. has a slight edge with team batting average. Both teams have almost identical stats, as far as the ones that count. RPG for the Giants 4.0 and K.C. at 4.1, ERA Giants 3.50 and K.C. 3.51. SHOULD BE A GOOD WORLD SERIES. Sorry East Coasters and N.Y.C./Boston unless you really like baseball, this series won't have much for you!
While I'm at it New York sports fans, you had a really bad last week; G-men got a can of you know what done to them. The Jets showed up, but still another big "L". G-men play at Dallas this Sunday, with the Cowboys just getting a good win at Seattle. This may just be another bad week! Maybe Jets will rest up and put it all together, beat up on Bills in another week, still New York bummer week! Might want to watch old movies and avoid ESPN.
Helpful hint when Raiders anything comes up I head for my bar and avoid the TV for next five minutes.
