I'm asking for your prayers for a classmate of my 8th grade son who tried to hang himself on Weds. afternoon. Brayden has been a troubled soul for a long time dealing with brokenness and rebellion. He is currently on life-support. We're asking prayers for a miracle of a full recovery of both body and soul and that Brayden can become a powerful testimony of His further glory. Thank you!!!

Thank you folks for your prayers and thoughts. The kid is doing better. They're trying to ween him off the vent. Mentally things seem good, physical condition is still unknown.
We had a powerful service at church today calling for all of us to intercede in our community and to remember that we're engaged in a struggle not against "flesh and blood" but in spiritual warfare.
I posted this on my FB account Friday night. Interesting how my liberal friends haven't responded...
Some of you are following this story and for others its news but the Brandon community has had a rash a teen suicides over the past several years and we're sick of it. They have to stop so whatever you have to do to be in kids lives do it!!! No kid is worthless. No kid is unreachable. No kid deserves this end. On Weds. an 8th grade boy tried once again but because what many of us believe was divine intervention the Evil One was not successful in his desired twisted plan. Please pray for Brayden B. that he has miracle recovery and can be used as a powerful testimony to other teens and any one else who thinks about such self destruction. I pray for all the family members and friends touched by these events. Stay strong!!

I feel and pray for you, your family, and the community. I went through this in a western S.D. community as a teacher, coach and administrator in the 1980's. The solution to this type of epidemic will not be posted here, but do the research to end this epidemic. Many on the forum will be offended by the solution, but it is the only way to end it.
I feel sorry for those that do not see hope in their future. As a society we have created a virtual world that our youth try to compete with in their everyday lives. They do not stand a chance.

Unfortunately that went thru our school systems high school. One student went for what I would describe a "train walk", that's where they stand or walk beside the tracks and when a train comes they step out in front of it. Well the first one was tragic, the next couple were also but copycats. Not sure how they got the copycat part to go away but I feel it had something to do with the local churches.

It always makes me so sad to hear these stories when youngsters feel they need to do this. I will definitely keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

Here's an update on Brayden that I swiped from a fb page that has been set up about him. A long road ahead of him but improvements are being made. I know the family is thankful for all the prayers that have been sent out. Brayden was quite a handful before hand. We're praying not only for a full healing but that God will use this situation to reach kids and young adults in similar dark funks...
Happy Sunday from Brayden's mama!! Brayden is doing so well! We went to church this morning and *** stayed with Brayden as he had PT/OT. He said they worked him very hard and he needed a little nap afterward. He has gotten so much strength back in his legs from just since I saw him last night before bed time. He can push himself back up in the chair and could not last night. He is also attempting to talk, he told PT/OT "thank you" and well as "yes" and "no". I asked the dr about him trying to talk and she said they would put a valve on his trach so he was able to talk more easily. The dr told *** this morning that more than likely Brayden would move from the PICU to a normal peds room on Tuesday. My boy is coming around. Every day there are new things and I could not be prouder of him. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers, love and support.
