    Moving back to NY 12/1

I miss the aptmosphere lol. I was raised in the deserts of southern California, spent most of my growing up time in remote parts of Florida, Texas, Alabama or Louisana utill I met my wife and move to NY. Lived outside Syracuse for 5 years before moving to TN and I have to say, I miss it. I don't miss the crime or the sounds of the city, but I miss walking down to Subway/Pilot or driving a few miles to the mall. One thing we definatly miss is Fios... I think NY spoiled me lol.

This isn't a rant or whatever, it's just some info letting everyone know so when they see my location chance to Liverpool, NY that'll be why. I know there's a metal recycling place there in Syracuse so that's a plus and I have most contacts for Ewaste so I think I'm off to a good start. This next month will be spent on sending out the box of stuff I do have and packing everything else up for the UHaul. Also getting the fuel filter replaced on the first so that will hopefully iron out the issues I was having with the pickup.

    -Matt

Thank you and it always is. We've come to the conclusion something always goes wrong whenever we move. This time it was the drivers side cat that decided to fall off and drag on the highway till I could pull it off.

Aw heck, you know how many times I've driven out and past there and didn't notice there was a yard there? I just remember the one that's up 7th north and to the right at the light a bunch of ways.

Small world, I'll be moving down the thruway from Verona to North Syracuse by end of the year myself. Perhaps we can meet up and talk shop when we get settled in. Good luck on the move!

My first job after college was located in Liverpool, NY(1974). They have a great hotdog joint there as I recall and it was very old in those days. You could chooe from beef or pork hotdog with or without mustard. Those were the only options, kind of like the soup Nazi but for hotdogs and a couple of decades earlier.

I was also introduced to sub sandwiches, which were unheard of in Indiana in those days. You could get them at gas stations that had a little sandwich shop in them. Good luck with the move.

You can't fix crazy BC. Lest FL is still ours!

It's a fair trade, you get Logan, we get FL.

Good luck on the move Logan, having just finished moving a couple miles down the road..I can tell you, I feel your pain.

Our resident health nuts will yell at me for this but...A well cooked beef hotdog with spicy brown mustard is one of my favorite meals. It's not often but when I do enjoy one they taste freaking great! lol.

Had a long lay-over by myself a few years back at O'Hare (usually not my favorite airport). Had a nice "Chicago" (or whatever they call it) dog with mustard, Hungarian peppers, onions, relish (?), and a couple other things. I certainly would eat more of those any day of the week...

Back in the late 70's and into the 80's I'd go to Kmart and get 1 or 2 of their deli subs they'd put together. ymmm

My Kmart has a Nathans now.Good dog.

An Dakota, I've had a "chicago dog" before also. They are quite tasty. Had mine while on a lay over at Chicago's train station while waiting on my Amtrak. Made the lay over on Christmas Eve go by much faster. An They should really Change the Chicago nickname from the windy city to "Very windy an freaking cold an your a fool for being outside in this ****". Jus' saying.

An I <3 Chicago. One of my favorite train stations. It was also used to film several scenes from The Untouchables with Kevin Costner, Sean Connery an Robert Deniro. Been through there a few times by train, an always have a long enough lay over to get out an explore.

I blame Miked for this thread derailment.

Sirscrapalot - Needs to visit Chicago again, it's been to long.
