Money is not the root of all evil, the love of money is.
I didn't wake up to a shoveled walk way but we got 18 inches
I woke up to smog welcome to california. I was gonna say I wish I woke up to some snow but on second thought I'll just drive to the mountains if I want that.
No snow but a broken water heater. Shaving with cold water and a cold showers suck.
Sunny and in the 60's this am then at about 1130 the temp dropped about 30 degrees in a few minutes and we had light snow the rest of the day...only about an inch has stuck.

Northern Nebr (SD Border) blizzard conditions while driving but the closer I got to home the less snow there was. Probably less than an inch 50 miles south.....nothing here to speak of. I broke out the coveralls, a vest, nylon neck scarf and the stocking hat this morning.
pjost, Looks like you had about 12" of partly cloudy to shovel.
We hear that a lot, "partly cloudy" then later it'll snow a blizzard. I think that's a CYA term.

I woke up to sand an 68 degree tempatures. I'd say I feel your pain but I'd be totally lying.
You can see snow on my sandbar in the photo album on my profile.
I prefer to keep it that way..in pictures.
Sirscrapalot - Will see your snowman an raise you one sand castle.
We had a light dusting. Maybe 1/3 of an inch.
We get strange weather, though. This was in front of my office, taken last May:
This was the night's snow fall. I wish I had taken a shot of the alley. They usually plow the street. You wouldn't have taken a car or truck down the alley, though.
Summer, come back! The heat wasn't that bad.
That's nothing compared to a Sioux City or Syracuse winter... winter before the wife and I moved to TN we saw a total of 4 feet in a day. Last winter I spent in Iowa was 5 years before that and that was about the same amount only we had black ice and negative temps that year(heater in the pickup stopped working at -20). Snow beats sunny sand any day of the week.

It's been slowly creeping down the mountains, anything over 3000 ft is now covered.
another 2 weeks here I bet, last year thanksgiving was the first snow removal day. plows ready, spreaders ready, trucks finally ready, new tractor on the way, salt and sand shed full, snow blowers up and running, new shovels and roof rakes, crew hired. gotta fill the diesel tank but I'm liking the way prices are going so I'm holding off on that till last minute.
BRING IT ON!!!

for someone who never has snow in his city or most of his country for that matter.
i just LOVE snow
here, were in summer.
the humidity levels are very high & even a little physical exertion drains u out.
i wish i lived i Canada or somewhere in the US where it always snowed for at least 5 months every year.
of course, there must be steady & reliable electricity, hot water & high speed internet- im not crazy u know!
that missed us got just less than an inch but good news was I found 8 bikes at curbo today that others did not want to venture and get lol
Very light dusting here in north central Kansas. Didn't much care for the 30-40 mph wind last night. Good night to work indoors and fire up the space heater.

Come on in! Our southern border is wide open. You can take US Hiway 281 all the way from Texas to South Dakota. That'll get you 5 months of snow and cold.
I actually enjoy winter. My work slows down, and I love to ice fish. Money gets a little tight, but this year I am taking a minimum wage job with 3M. It's one of those gigs where you can just show up whenever. Once all my scrap is broke down I'm gonna fish and work part time for gas money.
Now we just need some COLD temps to make some good ice.
