No Shat right? Someone posted about KFC being out of chicken once- yeah, well you aren't the only one. Guy I know when to KFC and was told the same thing once.
I will say I have never worked in a restaurant (sans a 3 month stint at 16) so I can understand the "not wanting to over-order food in case of spoilage" but especially with a Franchise the franchises are so good at knowing every last detail of their supply chain and demand that you would think running out of their mainstay product really is a

KFC keeps coming up...last Jimmy Buffett concert I attended, was the Sunday before Labor day. We were meeting my wife's sister for the concert an had decided to buy chicken for everyone so we coudl tail gate in the parking lot. Sold out. Every single chicken place. KFC, Chik-Fil-a, Popeyes, all sold out.
Normaly they do know their customer but they didn't count on so many people from the concert, plus being start of football = run on chicken. I thought it was funny. Just goes to show you what we see as a customer an whats really going on in back are some times totally different.
I get annoyed to at times but hey...**** happens. Bigger things in life for me to get upset over then KFC running out of chicken or Harris Teeter running out of cheese.
Oh an coffee sucks.

was me that mentioned the KFC thing. And yes there are bigger things in life... that goes without saying. But when you spent 10 minutes of a 30 minute lunch break driving over there and 10 more driving back. It is annoying as hell... at least it was that day. Left 10 minutes to come up with an alternate plan. And this wasnt in the middle of any big events... it was mid week at noon in a small city that nothing ever happens in.
was just sayin... it's crap management. That's like an Escrapper running out of #2 bits right after pulling in the driveway with 2 pallets of PCs to break down. You can manage without it, but you're still an idiot lol

I would imagine it was a problem with the delivery truck or driver on that day.was just sayin... it's crap management. That's like an Escrapper running out of #2 bits right after pulling in the driveway with 2 pallets of PCs to break down. You can manage without it, but you're still an idiot lol

My "Fail for the Day" was sending my daughter to Discount Tire to have a leak fixed on one of the studded snow tires I put on the front of her Honda Civic. They fixed the leak but would not release the car to her without putting the snow tires on the back of the front wheel drive car. Now I could almost understand if the other pair were in bad shape but they are a nice pair of tires...so now before the next snow comes in I will have to swap the wheel/tires. One step up and two steps back, as they say.

Went to the next town.. THEY REDEEMED the Starbucks Name.. Ya see that lid huh huh? Oh Yeah!
JAVA UUUUUUP!
Nice cup sledge. The wifey & I just returned from town and happened to stop a "real" alt coffee house. Certainly felt a little out of place wearing my ex-country fur buyer camo bb hat with all the little bull-pulling nose rings in the crowd but no one said anything. Just some neuvo and ex-hippies in there. My coffee drink was good...
Kz- there must be a new fad to put the best tires on the rear wheels even though a vehicle is front-wheel drive. The wifey bought a set for our van and the shop told her the manufacturer "wouldn't allow them to put new tires on the front if only one set was bought" (she has since bought another set so I guess that nulls their issue). Some guy on the tv said most people lose control of a rear end of a vehicle so the "best" tires should be on the back (or maybe people that drive front wheel drive vehicles--like me- should know if your a** end in whipping in snow and/or ice maybe stop giving it gas, steer through it, and things might calm down). Now these guys with your daughter. Must be some sort of conspiracy...

Hey Sledge....nice lid. You better keep it. It would be sweet to be told they ran out of lids and you whip one out and say "no problem I have my own".
You guys are a trip! Full of Great Ideas though!
In hindsight.. I should have bought one of their $30 way way overpriced re-useable cups and said- "Put it in This!" the day they were out of lids.
Didn't think fast enough on my feet!
I hate that place. It's the only place that you can schedule an appointment for there free tire rotation and when you get there they tell you it's a 4hr wait. Why the f@-k take appointments then. I have also always had at least one leaky valve stem from them too.

I thought I quoted the tire discounter post

Nah apparently it was not the first time that happened. The guy i went over there with had made a comment about it being the 3rd or 4th time it happened. The employee that we talked to was not at all shocked either. So I am guessing that it was a semi-regular occurrence.
My daughter works a a BBQ place...they ran out of ribs on Friday.
I work as a scrapper. During the winter I run out of scrap.

There was a report in our newspaper about a local pub that ran out of beer....
I have no idea of what to say about that.
The last time I heard of it happening was back in the late 80's.
The family of a couple of my school mates won lotto, $1 million.
They had a ten day party and drunk the whole town out of beer.....
