I live on a corner lot where the west bound road " T's " into the north/south bound road. There is a elementary school up the street so it can be busy depending on the time of day. Get out of the shower about 545am to find flashing lights out front so I go check it out and the dark car had slammed into the white car sending it into the neighbors fence. Had to go get her (she's in her 80's) so the police could talk to her and after about an hour it was all cleared out.
After things settle down I'm in the dining room talking to my son only to look up in time to see a minivan air born where the roads "T" and wedging it self in between my other neighbors garage and fence and teetering on a retaining wall. Now there were no screeching tires or attempt to stop so I'm not sure what he was looking at. I was there in seconds and lucky for him he missed the two telephone poles he went thru and was not hurt but was kind of trapped in his van...now here's the kicker...no one else in the van, he can't get out, yet he tells the police he wasn't driving. The tow truck driver had his work cut out for him on this job.
I'm glad there were no school children walking on the sidewalk when either of these wrecks happened.
