teenager catches bruiser pike through the ice

I know SMF has at least a few ice fishing die hards. Thought some would enjoy this story. We just call them "northerns" around here. In Canada some of you call them "jack fish". For you Southern folks, you really have nothing like this in a fresh water fish except maybe an alligator gar and I think they have a different personality than a northern.

Search for Kentucky Muskie state record. Caught by a 14 year old girl. Big fresh water fish.

NH's best pike is 44.5" almost 27 lbs never reeled one in myself though...Heard they put up a good fight.
Through the ice must have been tough probably had to chip the hole a little bigger to get that thing out.
