    A BAD Jeep Joke!

Ok so this poor guy had his jeep stolen out of his driveway on Christmas Eve. He posted his "Stolen- PLEASE HELP" ad all over CL.. Including in the "Free Section"
(Pardon the pics, could not do a screen grab where I was so Cell Phone was my only resort- I knew these would not last long before getting flagged into obscurity)

While trolling the free section myself I saw an ad saying "RE: STOLEN JEEP" and clicked on it. Thought it ODD that someone would respond to a "STOLEN JEEP" ad on CL..

This was someone's Response to the poor soul who got his jeep swiped on Christmas Eve!

Not sure if it was the same jeep.. but I can guarantee that with a quick IP search the "jokester" got a FAST response from about 5 police officers knocking on his door!

I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

Sledge- Thanks for sharing!! If the cops do bust someone using those posts, I bet your local media will have it on tv...

P.S. You guys have green grass and open (pool) water currently?? I knew Indy was a bit south of us but no pools have had water in them around here for the past couple of months. People are ice fishing but our warm spell a few weeks back made some of the lake ice questionable. The ice will be getting thick this week though

Only a Jeep could make it over the side of that pool without dumping all the water.

I hate to say it but that made by day - true it sucks this dude's Jeep was stolen on Christmas but what the guy did with it struck my funny chord. Although if someone did that to be(I'd love to see someone try that with a 1/2 ton 98 ford), I'd be pissed but know some where someone's laughing at my expense.

Did a Google image search and found the Jeep in pool. Ad answering stolen Jeep is trying to be a funny guy.

I knew it had to be someone's joke.. but I'm wondering if the "jokester" still got a visit from the police? Not hard to trace and IP address- especially for law enforcement.

DakotaRog: Actually though we do still have green grass here. No snow whatsoever on the ground.. and my thought was if a dude somehow plowed a jeep into a pool I imagine the cover wouldn't have stood a chance. So the "joke" was actually a well played one (sans the possible swat team door busting in part)

Ya know thinking about this from a certain angle, what if this person that posted all those CL ads was the one that crashed the jeep himself as a way of trying to get insurance money or something. Wouldn't put it past anyone these days.

it shouldn't have to be said but i feel the need to say it, anyone who watched the youtube video clip,

Please-please-please dont run a masonry saw like the guy in the video did, if the sidewall of the pool had given out at the wrong time and the wave of water swept him off his feet while that saw blade was spun up it would have been a very different attitude by the onlookers in the video.

them masonry saws can cause alot of damage very quickly, when not used intelligently.
