I just wanted to thank all of you who make the SMF what it is. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe what a great forum this is. I became a member about 17 months ago and have learned so much and it continues to this day.
I replied to a new members post this morning with a pic of the SMF's main page with some tabs circled in red but I wasn't trying to be a smart a$$ or anything, I was being serious.
For anyone new to this forum I would say get use to the layout of the website. All forums have FAQ'S and forum rules. Most have areas where you can introduce yourself and create threads that are off topic. Introduce yourself first before you do anything else. There is a thread just for this and it's not hard to find.
Read, read, read and when your tired of reading go back and read some more. There are so many great threads here that members have spent a lot of time creating.
If you new members are serious about scrapping and you're willing to research the information here, you will learn how to make contacts, where to get scrap, how to process it and where to find buyers.
It might take a little while to get going. It did with me but now I have people calling wanting to know when I can stop by and pick up a load. Sometimes it might be a few computers or it might be 30 and if you're lucky it could be 6 pallets of high grade telecom equipment.
You get a call like that and you better be ready.
Thanks again to the guys and gals that make this possible.
