    If I won the powerball.....

If I won the Powerball......(485 Million)

I would move out of Indiana, but I don't think I would just live in just one place. I would have a ton of land. I would have a nice house, but nothing extravagant.

I would incorporate scrap metal into my home. Each room would have a different theme.

Bathroom- Copper. Would have a nice shine to it. Would be fun doing work on a copper toilet.

Kitchen- Stainless steel. Modern. Sleek. Wife wouldn't hate me.

    Bedroom- Aluminum. Lightweight. Sturdy.

Living room- Silver. No idea how to incorporate this, but if I was that loaded, I would probably would have a silver end table.

What would you do with lots of millions of dollars?

It's a lot of fun taking old switches and outlets apart for the brass.

I would have a Throw Back Thursday at the yard and pay the difference so that shred was $200 Ton for a day.

I'd buy KZ a warehouse to store all his weird fridges in.

Then I'd buy his current weird fridge an make it able to cool things again, an attach wheels. Then buy a new truck an hitch custom made for it, an I'd pull it everywhere with me, an name it george, an love it an hug it an...oops..

I'd buy every scrap room member a cooler. I'd say forum member, but there are way to many of you. Said cooler would be filled with beverages of their choice.

I'd then buy me my very own sandbar or island, retire to enjoy a life of cooler, an grills while investing my money in various scrap deals to keep me amused.

I'd also fly all the Cooler Pullers out for a grand party...it'd be a BYB party. Bring your own Bail.

I'd rent a convention center invite everyone to it for a SMF meet up. Drinks an food provided!

I would also fund a quote research program, an the perfect traveling cooler research program.

Am I being serious or am I kidding? When I win, you'll find out.

I honestly play the lotteries very seldom, for the most part I think they are one of the biggest rip-offs. Every once in awhile I'll get urged or compelled to try it, by my GF, who can't stop herself. I love going to Vegas, a friendly poker game with my buddies and have been known to play a pool game for my next beer. Other than that, I find "life" is gambling enough for me!

If I did hit the big "one", I would send myself to all the famous cooking schools. Not for employment reasons, but just to cook for myself, family and friends. Would love to do that!

If I win, I'll pay for 5 of the schools for ya Burt.

Long as you promise to cook me a meal whenever I'm nearby.

I'd also like to add...I very rarely if ever play. My wife will when it gets big like this. I also find life to be risky enough for me. I gamble with buying an selling scrap, an so forth an so on. If I were to win I'd honestly either die from shock, or I dunno what. As someone else said..I could never live like "rich" people. As my wife would say..I'm pbr an hamburgers an steaks. Fancy food is weird.

An no..I don't really drink PBR..unless you buy it an bring it to me. lol. I never turn down free beverages, but I don't buy it.

I still stand by my first post. Those are fun things..not.."rich people" things.

If I won it, I'd take care of my few bills and those of my kids so we're comfortable. Then the rest I think I'd walk around paying it forward. Find people that look deserving and just hand them a few hundred and the local charities, just walk in and hand them a few thousand. The joy it would bring me no money could ever buy.

I'd go out and buy my father a newer combine, tractor, and pickup. Not brand new- that's a waste of money, but nicer...

I'd then go to work. Without doing something, why live?

Visit an accountant before cashing it in. Then take care of my kids so they won't ever have to worry about money again. Become debt free, buy the wife a new car, me a new pickup and then go on a long needed vacation. Finish out my 20 yrs to collect my city pension( its just the principle of the thing, sacrificed too much not to get it all).

The one charity I would donate to is to my middle child's special ed school. I would have all new computers and pt,ot and speech equipment installed as well as a new gym. They are my daughters angels so they deserve it the most.

I don't have children, but they wouldn't get anything unless it was in the form of a salary.

The fact that I had to earn everything that I own has made me who I am. I wouldn't want anyone to not have that experience.

As an outdoorsman and educator, there is only one dream left to be fulfilled. After high school I wanted to homestead in the Yukon in Canada, a hermit of sorts. Because of a wrestling scholarship, I got a degree in education. Years in education provided certification in Project Adventure, certification as an archery instructor, scuba diving instructor, winter survival, educating youth, counseling, motivation, goal setting, etc. Personal experiences such as training horses, training dogs, farming, hunting, fishing, etc. provide a well rounded back ground.

So my dream would be to start a school for troubled youth in the middle of no where. To give you an idea of no where, helicopters would be needed to haul building supplies, mail would be delivered by airplane, pack trains would be used to move to civilization, etc. Any one could be sentenced there, to graduate they only have to walk away on their own. To stay warm they have to cut fire wood, to eat they have to farm and hunt, to move things they have to train animals, to take a bath they have to haul water and heat it, so on. The idea is to teach lifestyles are based on effort. If they are failing on the schooling portion of the program, they will not be allowed to cut firewood, plant crops, work with animals, or haul water until they finish studying. Self sufficiency would be the only common core standard of this education.

Of course anyone from the forum could visit, but you will have to negotiate with the residents for food and a warm place to sleep. I wanted to buy my first lottery ticket ever today, but forgot. Maybe next week.

    If I won the powerball...

I would donate a bunch to various charities. Ducks Unlimited, the christian youth camp (if they'd take it), and start up a scholarship fund with my name on it.

I would pay off my debt
I would pay off my parents and grandparents debt
I would pay off my inlaws debt
I would pay off my sisters and stepsisters debt

I would put my dad's parents up in whatever they wanted for housing.

I would walk into a lambo dealer in one of my ratty 10 year old cutoff shirts with a pair of my torn jeans, and buy a lambo with cash. Drive it for a year, making the corvette drivers up here feel like their **** is even smaller. I would then go land shopping, and build my house and pole barn. While the property is being built, I will travel the country with my wife collecting things, and exploring.

I would like a giant aquarium in the center of the house, with a bathroom in the center with one way glass so you can't see in. All stocked with michigan fish. This is the only way the house would be over 3-4k sq ft.

I would then go to NZ and shoot my red stag.

Eventually, once the house and pole barn is done, throw a big ol' party... maybe several. Then start building **** in the pole barn, until I die. Maybe even end up with some patents. I would continue to go to antique stores and flea markets and garage sales.

I would end up dying with hundreds of millions of dollars left over.... unless i decide that cocaine is good.
