    Saturday Night Live

SNL is 40 years old, a show that I will never forget. I was in college when SNL first started, this show was ground breaking when it came out. My friends and I thought it would not last, as it was controversial and we were sure that the FCC would pull the plug on it. Every Saturday night we would all go out, most with our dates to separate places. But around midnight we would all meat up somewhere and watch SNL together. My buddies and our dates, drinking, smoking and joking, those were some high times. SNL is not as good as it was, but neither am I, it is still good and I try to watch as much as I can.

I always liked "King Tut", there have been many that made me laugh. "We will pump you up!", The Chippendale Dancers, "I can see Russia", and most recently - "Bill Crosby, pull your own **** pants up!". Thank You Saturday Night Live, we all need to laugh more and you helped me over the years do just that.

And a few really good comedians that have passed too soon from SNL.

Always been a big fan and have watched it from the beginning. My favorite skit is Seasons Eating's with Pete Schweddy played by Alec Baldwin. Another would be Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase in the word association test.

One night my mom called me down to watch tv with her, it was SNL! ''The not ready for primetime players'' were on Gilda, Jane Curtain, John Belushi, etc were on. Loved the show and it was something that started out as a special ''mom and me '' time but became a weekly must be home and awake to see for years of my life.

    Loved Gilda's ''Baba Wawa''
Scrapper, Scrap Yard Worker, Horse farm worker, Cooler Puller and just plain ''tired''

Chippendale's that was a good one!
Colonel Ingus with Christopher Walkens was great.
And when Ragen got shot they did a " buckwheat has been shot" interruptions all through the show.

Will Ferrel is going to be on tonight's show. I believe it's a two hour marathon starting at 8pm EST with a red carpet event going on before hand. They are going to highlight some of the best sketches over the past 40 years, so anyone who's a fan should tune in...I know I will be. "I got a fever...and the only prescription is more SNL"

Christopher Walken is funny period. I showed my brother the cow bell skit and he loved it but he told me it ruined the BOC song for him.

Eddie Murphy was just 18 when he first appeared on SNL. The list of comedians that have been on SNL is literally a who's who of famous comedians. Also the list of guest host is pretty impressive. I always like it when SNL impersonates celebrities, famous people and especially politicians. Bill Clinton had to be one of their best, he had so many habits! Even the simple people of ordinary life, were not spared as in "Church Lady".
