    We will not always agree!

We have all been there, said something we may wish we had not said at all. We all have our own opinions and think we are right most of the time. We all have our own way of doing something and sometimes our way is right, once in awhile it is not. I tell the people that work for me, I want to hear what you think, as that it is best we communicate with each other, than not too! I also tell them we are in this together and I truly mean that!

In some ways it's the same with any group of people. We don't have to agree with each other or even try. We should respect one another, agree if we choose to or agree to disagree, but respect of another persons position is just the right thing to do, it's called being civil!

In a way we here at SMF ARE IN THIS TOGETHER!

    Burt

Maybe a combo - Low prices hurt and "Cabin Fever" certainly will take the smile off of the best of us!

I think it should be noted too that someone is less likely to answer your question or help you with a problem if you have previously been rude to them or anyone else. We all come here for pretty much the same reasons and being attacked is not one of them.

If I've been rude to anyone, I apologize.
It was not my intended purpose.
Iam passionate about certain issues, but that does not excuse rudeness.
And yeah cabin fever is getting the best of me.

My post was definitely not directed at anyone. I actually had a giant run on sentence commending those who recently had a very civil conversation with me but it got real long and stopped making sense. To do this business, or any business really, you have to have a thick skin. Customers are the ones who can take offense, whine, complain. As business people we have to stand our ground, back our decisions and say "no" when it's required or go out of business. It takes a certain type of personality to be successful and being that person is nothing to be ashamed of.

I was a little curious myself where bigburt got the inspiration to post this thread...

Cabin Fever not only hits the forum , but at home too. I find myself grumpy.

Wife comes home from work- "what did you do today?"
Me- "Oh, stripped XX pounds of wire, or Cleaned XX pounds of aluminum."
    Wife- "Good, what else?"
Me- (thinking) "WTF isn't stripping XX lbs of wire enough?"

Then I realize this is the woman I love and she is just making conversation. Lol

    THINK SPRING!
Money is not the root of all evil, the love of money is.

I can't see Spring over the piles of white crap! I know what you guys mean though, vitamin D deficiency has hit me too (it usually doesn't, I'm that guy that enjoys rain and snow, usually) I keep telling myself all day that I will go home and clean up the garage, or list some stuff on line, but it seems that big magnet in my couch has found my secret stash of iron in my butt! I hope I can shake it off soon!

It's starting to warm up here a bit. I can already feel a little more ambitious, and I'm in a better mood. But, it's still Winter.

That, coupled with the low scrap prices can make you feel bleak. But, Spring will be here soon enough. Usually around the 15th of March, most people here are out of their "funk".
