I am so tired of watching the news and seeing corrupt politicians. I love this country it is the greatest in the world. I am blessed and do well. Yet my tax dollars get spent in the craziest manner.

Now for the last few years I have not been able to play internet poker. I can play 2, 3, 4, 5 digit numbers, powerball, mega millions which I don't cause the lottery sux. Yet here I sit unable to play poker for a living until the man figures out how to extract the greatest possible amount of taxes from the process.

When will the masses take control of the political process and return this country to it glory?

I hear you and hate them all too but I think there's much more pressing issues then gambling...

We legalized gambling here in md. Can even bet football in Delaware , but it's hasent improved anyone's life that I know of .

Do you think there is any hope for change in a positive direction short of some kind of revolution? Which I don't see happening. Nor do I want to happen. What is the solution?

I don't think it is a quality of life issue. I just don't like gov restrictions dictating my actions. Don't play poker online go to casino, bet dogs, horses, etc. Get health insurance or suffer the tax. Oh ya let's give 1.8M to study the native tree frog in upper skabobia.

At least Wyoming approved gambling. It was a boom industry on the Wind River Indian Reservation.

Personally, I'm for gambling to be legal, the old Montana system of speed limits, and no emissions inspections.

Here's why Lottery is legal, an gambling isn't or wasn't.

Lottery brings in money for the state, which all those wonderful politicians get to spend on their little pet projects. Down here in NC..I think half of the money for the lottery goes to education. Can't speak for other states. I know NC resists for a very long time an finally gave in an allows lottery here now.

Fun history fact for my sandbar - 15 years ago if you wanted to play the lottery(scratch or pick) you had to basically drive all the up to the border of NC/VA an visit a place called the Border Station. One half of it is in va, the other is in NC. So back then you'd buy your tickets on the Va side. All you could get on the NC side far as lottery was some really crappy scratch game that gave you minutes for long distance calls. LOL.

Oh an yes..I dislike being told what to do, or how to act. It's my life. Let me live it. If I'm not being a danger to others or myself, then let me do my thing. No I don't buy all the hype with second hand smoke either..me smoking outdoors, isn't going to hurt you any more then all the crap we're releasing in the air as it is..from cars, trucks, etc.

Shame me for smoking a cigarette but **** me if anyone points a finger at a prostitu..err politician when they eff up. Haha...it'd be funny if it wasn't so sad.

This is a first world problem you seem to have. Pittsburgh has a casino you can visit if you wish to gamble. Save the gov oppression crap for the countries that kill you for you not thinking the way they do.

I have no love for Gov. control but you forget what is happening in the world today. Count yourself lucky to be American and to have these concerns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell the old Italians and Greeks in jail for decades from running numbers that it's ok for the state to take bets after they have been in the can for 30 years . I'm sure the crack dealers in jail understand why it's ok for the mayors wellness mobile to hand out free heroin with your tax dollars . But interesting perspective etack at least we are free to see the hypocracy .

I don't hate government, as we would still be living in caves without it. I due despise "Career Politicians", like we have in both parties, they go to Washington for decades as millionairess, leaving as multimillionaires. Wonder how that happens?

Government should be minimal , border protection and the military , NAME A FEW MORE BUT MINIMAL!! each state has an EPA so why do we need one in D.C. ?

I clearly state I love this country. I believe the Constitution is divinely inspired as crafted by our founding fathers. I just wish the protections that made this country great were upheld. This is why we do not get killed for disagreeing with gov. Once again the Casino is there BUT the state takes 55% as tax. Huh. So if poker is ok at Rivers Casino where it is taxed to death why is not ok in my livingroom. Im sorry if I offend but really things are getting worse.

You miss losing money to the scammers at Full Tilt Poker? The reason online poker is illegal is because the legit poker places in Los Vegas and Atlantic city doesn't like the competition to their brick and mortar billion dollar casinos. There is also the fact that unless there is some kind of governing body that writes the code (so there isn't fraud like there is now) and collects taxes its not going to happen.

Should be plenty of local places to play unless you really like sitting in your underwear playing 3 days straight off a stolen credit card.

The banks didn't like laws keeping them from destroying the worlds markets, EXON doesn't like not being able to cheaply poison your water, the rich don't want to pay you a minimum wage, food industries don't want to have inspectors telling them what food is good to sell or not, etc.

DON'T GET ME STARTED. I will just say this. the ONLY thing the government did for me was send me to a foreign land to kill people I had never knew existed ln a war they never intended to win just like all others sinse, and take my money and give it to whom ever they wanted. they did not get us out of caves, we did.

the government did not buy my houses or land I did. the government never started any of my business regardless of what Obummer says , I did ,all by my self in spite of the government.

$5000 in fees and permits and compliance to operate a hot dog cart. give me a break.

just like anything the product will not sell if it is poor , hot dog cart with stale rolls will go under or if it dirty it will go under , as far as the government writing the code and I will assume you mean law just research how many stupid laws and regulations we have . Government uncontrolled is far worse than anything else I can think of , EPA yes it is needed to set minimal laws but not to shut down businesses and farms because a cockroach that is rare, I am not suggesting Somalia but less, If the job doesn't pay then move to another job . I mentioned food already but here is an example of over reach When that idiot in New York City wanted to ban large sodas !! or salt not allowed on the table . If people like the way Europe is then move there and enjoy .
