Carry on with the derailment of my thread. I'll just blame Patriot.

Thank you. Few appreciate contributions to the forum. Some threads need to be derailed when we start talking about porcupines, scrap, and what to do with both in the same thread. By the way, nice dunes.

That happens here if you end up on the back roads of the lovely town of Wancheese..or however you spell it.

Whenever I drive through there on my way to the yard there I use now an then, I swear I hear banjo music. It's that kind of place.

Thank you for the compliment on my dunes. I'm quite proud of them. An they didn't cost me a fortune.

That oughta confuse everyone for the rest of the week.

Sirscrapalot - CA - California prison workers will no longer be allowed to have sex with inmates. ( A note from me...I'm have to do a post on Cali alone..they got some good ones. Consider this your teaser.)

    Who doesn't love blue laws?

    In Wyoming:

*You may not take a picture of a rabbit from January to April without an official permit.
*It is illegal to wear a hat that obstructs people’s view in a public theater or place of amusement.
*Skiing under the influence of alcohol is prohibited.
*It is illegal for women to stand within five feet of a bar while drinking.
*All new buildings that cost over $100,000 to build must have %1 of funds spent on art work for the building.

Now, to make fun of Sirscrapalot, the North Carolina Blue Laws:
*All couples staying overnight in a hotel must have a room with double beds that are at least two feet apart.
*It’s against the law to sing off key.
*If a man and a woman who aren’t married go to a hotel/motel and register themselves as married then, according to state law, they are legally married.
*Organizations may not hold their meetings while the members present are in costume.

And, for my favorite state to ridicule, California:
*You may only throw a frisbee at the beach in Los Angeles County, CA with the lifeguard’s permission.
*It is a misdemeanor to shoot at any kind of game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale.
*Women may not drive in a house coat.
*Animals are banned from mating publicly within 1,500 feet of a tavern, school, or place of worship.
*In Baldwin Park, nobody is allowed to ride a bicycle in a swimming pool.
*In Belvedere, City Council order reads: “No dog shall be in a public place without its master on a leash."
*In Blythe, you are not permitted to wear cowboy boots unless you already own at least two cows.
*In Carmel, a man can’t go outside while wearing a jacket and pants that do not match.
*Also in Carmel, women may not wear high heels while in the city limits.

    California is weird.

It was late night. I was tired.

I was having fun on my front lawn before the sun went down. I don't want to be arrested, you know....

HA! I knew most of those Montana laws. But Washington was my first home so I had to represent. Besides, Montana is WAY too easy!
    "HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE DAD!"

And ParkerFlyer4: Why do Montana men always have red eyes after sex? From the mace.

I asked a (American) boss once "Why they have such funny laws still on the books, in America?"

"Weeellll (in a American drawl) theres a very very good reason for that...."

    "Whats that?" I asked.

"Well, you must have a very good reason for making a law"

"And a very very good reason for unmaking it"......

(This was to do with the law against 'shooting buffalo from a stationary train')

A very good lesson for NZ, who make laws to ban things, just to get around the fact they are laws that specificly prohibit making laws about prohibiting things that have no reason to be prohibited in the first place.
Then they make laws saying you can only sell certain things, in this certain area, which we prohibit you from selling, in only this area.
