    Smile Grumpy Old Men

    I like to watch and or listen to older movies and such that I have on recorded media. The Beta and VHS tapes and DVD format. I also have a small assortment of the old laser disc movies. Most times I just listen to older movies and music videos when I'm on the computer or doing inside hobby things.



    Right now I have Grumpy Old Men in with Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon and Ann Margret. Actors that I'm familiar with as I enjoy their acting.

    But anyway I was reading over the forums and at the start of the movie, Walter Matthau is walking outside to go check his mail wearing his PJ;s, bath robe, Boots and a winter hat.

    As he walks to the mail box he is singing:

    We're having a heat wave,
    A tropical heat wave,
    The temperature's rising,
    It isn't surprising,

    Thought I would add that it is late fall/winter in the movie with snow on the ground. Ice fishing time...

    isn't anything above zero a tropical heat wave for you people in MN, SD, ND, etc.?

    As you get older the comfortable "heatwave" temp rises. I think many of us over 50 folks view upper 30's or more as a heatwave as long as the sun is out and the wind is a breeze if that.

    The lows will be in the 30's and the highs in the 50's on up for the forecast of my area for the next few days.

    I will be doing things around the yard for sure. Looking for treasures and outdoor space...

    I don't fish much anymore as I would rather do other things.
