I found a $100 bill crumpled up at my work place, so I did what I thought was right and immediately turned it to a manager. Unfortunately I work in retail and I am treated like a snot-nosed teen and was reminded that was the proper thing to do and if I pocketed it that would be "stealing". Anyways, management said if no one claimed it 30 days then it would be mine. Awesome! 45 days later. Lost prevention manager said there is a new rule and the money just will be automatically deposited into the corporate account. gee whizz, wally!
I told the manager if I see money again I am not wasting my time picking it up or if its near a customer, its their lucky day. WTF!
So, what would you do?
