Good Morning! Got my first scrap swimming pool call of the season
You know its spring when people start thinking about what to do with the old broken pool. We all know what to do with them but the customers just want it out of there yard. Do you guys/gals that remove pools take the liner or do you only deal with the metal? I feel like I am leaving the job unfinished if I don't at least offer to take the liner for a small fee.

In my opinion, If they are giving you there old pool for free, why charge them to take the liner??? Bring it home and throw it out or use it as a tarp or some thing.
Tip: Watch for bee and hornet nests

yep always do whats best to make a great impression clean up be polite and hand out cards get that business rolling all summer and congrats on the first of the year

Bring a nice sharp razor blade with you. Cut the liner into manageable pieces and take with you.. Leave NOTHING at that clients house except a bare smooth bed of sand. You can bag up the liner and place at the road for your normal trash pick-up. Believe me I have had to take the molded above ground stairs and cut them up with a sawzall at home as well.. Pools stink.. but I can get one torn down completely, loaded and trashed in about 2 to 3 hours solo.
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

Ya, ive seen my share of nasty pools including some with bees, frogs, tadpoles, spiders. (side note... Discovered that PB Blaster kills bees instantly, so if you ever run into bees keep that in mind) but I like pools most of the time its good outdoor work on a nice day. Also a tip for anyone that hasn't done pools, if the customer wants you to take the pump/filter ask if it worked the last time they used it and it makes a good Craigslist sale.
Can't wait for summer & working in a t shirt!
You would be looking at about $250 for us to come remove a pool 100%.
