We went to church early this morning and so I'm working on my side of the garage so I can get my car into it. They're predicting rounds of severe storms this afternoon even though its fairly cool out (don't know where the energy for the storms is coming from).
Our local tv stations really get into tracking violent storms, some folks think a little too much. Doppler radar with a map backing is a fantastic tool as a person can watch things move and where they're going. While I've been working on the garage, have been watching a tornado move mostly north towards Mitchell, SD. If any of you have been on I-90 and stopped at Cabela's at Mitchell, this is where I'm talking about. The storm isn't moving that fast (about 30 mph) so people have lots of warning. Luckily, tornadoes tend to be fairly narrow. A big one can be over a mile wide. Just don't want to be in that mile along the twister's path...
