    The Snake RIP

Ken Stabler 1945 - 2015, passed away yesterday. As a life long Raider fan this saddens me. It was my Grandfather that started me watching the Raiders and Ken "The Snake" Stabler was his favorite player. I drank a few too many "cold ones" today after learning of his death. Played "Sweet Home Alabama" until my GF threatened to leave me. The Snake will be missed!

Just old enough to see him play in his later years. I always thought he was a cool guy. Sad when I heard the news.

When I first read this, my thought was "oh no not Jake the Snake Roberts" then I read further. I used to watch more
wrestling than football back then so his name does not ring a bell with me. May he still RIP.

That's right, I remember he had that. But he fought it off for a number of years, didn't he??

Rog - I'm not sure when he was diagnosed with the cancer or if that was ever released. I do know the last six months was very tough on he and his family. I hate the saying: They, he or she is: "In a better place". In this case it is so!
