Is this a good idea to make money?

I go online to theses scrap metal auctions and buy some scrap at a nice price. Low enough to make a profit. I then put it in a pickup truck and sell it to a scrap medal dealer. Say to pick up and sell it all is only a 200 mile round trip. Is this a way to make some good money? Thanks

Often times no. Many people have the same idea and theyre willing to do it for less and less as time goes on. If you find the right auction, at the right price, I would definitely go for it.

I've done it before and it worked. I've also sold stuff I bought as scrap at a farm auction and made money. It can go either way so you have to be the judge. Try it once and keep up with EVERY cost, then you can see for yourself.

Currently, I think your pick-up would have to be hauling some pretty choice dense smaller items to make a profit driving 200 miles. Don't know if you'd find something like that at auction that others don't know about it as well. Good luck on that one.
