The wife and I just picked up tickets for Bad Co and Joe Walsh memorial day weekend. The nice thing is that Paul Rodgers is back with Bad Co so all those old tunes will sound just like they did back then. I am really stoked! Both acts I really like. I am pretty sure I have seen Bad Company, but I really can't remember specifically. It was a band I really liked and they were around so I can't imagine I never saw them, but if I didn't... Now I will! Joe Walsh I have seen twice and both times he has put on a hell of a show.

I saw Joe Walsh in NZ once. He was in NZ and signed up with a Kiwi band called the 'Herbs' for a while.
I actually went to see a touring guitarist (?) at a nightclub. But Joe turned up about 3/4 the way thru and got on stage and did some jamming with the band.

Honestly, I was drunk at the time.... The original guy was OK, so as I was not driving, I decided to get really really drunk...
By the time Joe turned up, I was slumped at a table almost too drunk to stand.
By the time he finished, I needed help to stand up. And since I got there early, I had the best table and chair too..

Which ment that when he finished I was going to get moved onwards. Drunkenly. So as soon as he's finished, I see the bouncers making there hesitant way back thru the crowd towards me. (They had already cleared to table of glassware and all they knew was 'there's some drunk guy at THE table'.)
So I get a few braincells together and stand up and make a sweeping gesture towards the table for them as if to say "hey, I saved it for you" and used the crowd to guide me out.
I think I stopped drinking alcohol a few weeks or months later, because of that and another drunken vomity night, and buying my first car really did make it nessesary anyway.

But his guitar work...... Undescribable, majestic guitarlicks from heaven.
The only thing that comes close is side two of Sammy Hagar's 'Musical chairs'. Or 'Benny Dancer' by Robin Trower..

So, since Black Sabbath are doing their last ever live concert in NZ, I am going to be there for it.
I will use the trip to sell off my plastic coated wire for good $ quite a distance away as well as a well earned trip/holiday out of town.
Its towards the end of next month.

I've always enjoyed Bad Company. Maybe not all off their stuff...but the majority of it.

An Steel..I feel your pain. I went to Neil Diamond for my wife, the things we do outta love ....

We have plans to catch Blackberry Smoke this year, an Skynyrd. Hopefully it'll work out this year, last year the only time they came close to me was during the peak tourist season, which means no leaving the sandbar unless the wife stays behind...an she'd kill me if I went to either without her. lol.

Seen alot from Police Synchronicity tour, David Bowie, Erice Clapton, Cheap Trick, Heart, Van Halen, KISS (front row), etc. But my best time was the summer of 95 (i think) when I saw the Who in Foxboro. It rained as we were getting seats and just as it stopped they came on stage and started with Love, Reign O'er Me....fantastic. That summer I also saw Buffet (anyone ever heard of a bad Buffet show?), Elton John & Billy Joel, and then the Allman Bros with Blues Traveler. My girlfriend was not a fan of the Allmans, and said "all the do is jam"...i said "oh ya! isnt it great?". She didnt get it....and I moved on from her. My first daughter is named Jessica lol

I've always wanted to see Def Leppard personally. This year they're on tour with REO Speedwagon (Also love them) and Tesla. We're going to the Billings show!

I would have given my left arm to see Def Leppard!

I think I may have seen an eight arm Def, but it would be long enough ago it wasn't the seven arm incarnation.

Pour Some Sugar On Me is probably the only Def Leppard song I'm not that big of a fan of. Mostly due to the reputation, I think. I'm so happy to finally get to see them, though. And, REO Speedwagon is a great band as well! I'll take it!

If I wanted adult-themed songs, I'd listen to Van Halen. I do love them, but for a different reason. Although, I'm kind of weird- I like the Van Hagar stuff the most.
