    Pay homage to Spongebob...

    Crappy beer, but hey..brilliant idea!

Frozen Beer Pong...it sounds stupid, but yet...oddly fun.

Annoy your neighbors and pay homage to an awesome movie..

When you all unthaw you should show pictures of anything you made out of snow. Yellow snow doesn't count! Be creative...no prize other then knowing you humored me.

Sirscrap: Is this supposed to hit your sandbar? The weather map looked like they are tracking all of VA and NC.. but then all of a sudden that small stretch of water between the mainland and the sandbar.. the snow melts like it is hitting a wall of fire! With as powerful as it is supposed to be.. I imagine you may actually get some snow on top of the sand with this one!

Sledge - We're getting rain an lots of it. Yes I have a weather bubble around my sandbar. Sometime it works, sometimes it doesn't. lol.
Far as I know only snow I'll see is on the weather channel. Possibility of a dusting come sunday. My only worry is the raining freezing over night. It's all good, I'm hanging out at home this weekend with my cooler an facemunchers.

Metal - You do an I'll return the favor with sand, an I got more sand then you got snow. You haven't seen a mess till you an 8 foot high pile of sand in your driveway. After hurricanes they break out the bulldozers down here an the bobcats for sand removal.

Have fun storming the Ice castle! - Billy Crystal from the Princess Bride...I changed it up tho to fit the weather. Your welcome.

Sirscrap, my youngest son is excited about the storm and is in Baltimore. He has survived major blizzards in the mid west and thinks this is an adventure. This is coming from a kid that used a snow drift to land a snow mobile on the top of a two story house. He cracked every window in the house from the vibration. We used to build snow caves during blizzards and have a sleep out. You are right, be prepared, kick back and enjoy.

Good luck to all of those in the storms path.
Give back more to this world than we take.

For the Cooler club , putting beer in the snow in the mountains prevents it from freezing. Just an outdoor survival trick.

Ship it by the tractor trailer load. We can probably get a good price from our resident freight guy

Mattinthehatt/Metal - I suggest you both just leverite where it lands. Your snow will melt...my sand won't. On the brightside you won't need to sand your driveway!

Patriot - One would think the residents of Baltimore an DC and Va would be used to all this. It seems they all forget what happens the winter prior. They could learn a lesson from your son. Let him know I know a fella he can go peg with snowballs if he wants...goes by the name of Metalbestos....

Yea ninja boy, I just put a green light on a snowball hit on you!

I've included a guide for you all for future blizzards.

When you know a blizzard is coming..
    1. Stock up on your beverages. Place them in a cooler.
    2. Place cooler in car/truck/rv.
    3. Leave town for somewhere warm.
    4. Laugh at everyone stuck behind as you get a tan, enjoy your cold beverages an build SAND castles.

Sirscrapalot - I'm here all weekend. Lucky you.

It's not what you can do with snow, It's what you can do In It !!!

I wouldn't trade our annual snowfalls for anything here. This "Blizzard" is just our first substantial snowfall this year in what has been a creepishly hot winter so far. Global Warming sucks. We had our first real snowfall Monday so I took full advantage of it the way I had intended to all Dec and Jan but off-course No Snow Yet. Sunday night while I was out I saw this at our local trout stocked pond.[IMG][/IMG]

So I decided to renew my Bow Hunting License that night for 2016 in time to get one last chance to bag a Whitetail this year during the last weeks of Winter-Bow-Season. Bow-Hunting in the snow is the Best for several reasons one in my case because I'm yet to bag a deer yet in this new spot of mine and was praying to find "sign" or tracks, scat, rubs what-have-you.)
So here I am next morning way up in NW Jersey this past Monday Morning.
    [IMG][/IMG]

Some of you I understand have lived your whole life in parts of the Country or World where you never have snow. But for someone like me born and raised where we Expect it Every Winter, Some of us invest thousands in hobby's and Sports that depend on cold winters and snow and ice. Some even choose professions like Snow Plowing or snow blowing for instance. We don't Welcome this record breaking hot winter that we've had so far We Despise it and we shutter to think what it's most likely all about and dread the thought of it staying like this and getting warmer every year.

Besides you Can't tell me this isn't a beautiful place to be in the snow[IMG][/IMG]

    [IMG][/IMG]

As for snow like predicted tonite Im just planning on my same ole same ole[IMG][/IMG]
    [IMG][/IMG]

People who think all life has to stop till the snow is cleared are missing out on the beauty of nature in my opinion

But to sum up Nothing wrong with making world class Snow Sculptures, But I'll take my fun in the snow Old School Style any day

JerseyD- I hope you get to fling an arrow yet this season. If not, get your license earlier next one around. I haven't shot a deer or antelope since 2011 (?) but the kids have gotten some deer. Haven't hit one with my car either which is a good thing. Always next season, hunters are as bad as farmers, always hold on to hope for the next time...

Have fun in the snow. I think my 18 year snowblower took a final dump the second time we used this year. Don't need 2 feet of new white stuff around here.

I don't hunt but I see a lot of deer here in middle Tennessee.
I see even more dead on the side of the interstate about the same time deer season starts.

Yeah jimicrk, if I got permission to pick up the fresh not-overly beat up road killed deer around here, I'd have plenty of venison but I'm about the only one that eats the stuff straight (and its not my favorite flavored meat--bbq sauce always helps) except my one kid that will eat some. He likes meat sticks a lot (so do I) but I probably don't need to eat tons more salt. Never spent the effort to make sticks and sausage on my own. Maybe I would in another situation.

I could also shoot my share of deer walking from my place back towards the "big" city down along the river or up and down through the hills but some of that is owned by a big ultiltiy compnay that has a wonderful de facto (I guess they allow some "special" bow hunters on the place) and some good area that's in the big city's winter park area. Some of the best deer territory is actually in the city boundaries itself that's not developed or in some sort of industrial use. They actually started a lottery system for anterless deer archery tags for this part of the city but I haven't done archery hunting in a long time. Maybe next year...

And I could have shot deer from my back yard as my area gets built out. Last time I saw any right here was one night a round Christmas time when a group of five crossed the new street behind my house just off of the street light area. Kind of fun to watch. Of course the lead doe stopped and raised her hoof to flip me off as we watched . They like doing that especially when I'm on the last few miles of coming home after a multi-hundred mile hunting trip to some of the more rural areas of my state

We have lots of deer on the sandbar. The little airstrip here...they hang out there as the hunters can't hunt there..Kinda funny.
