We ended up with 9" of snow. I know that's not a lot for you guys up north but it is for middle Tennessee.
I've shoveled more snow today than I have in the last 40 years combined.

Iam so happy to live in Florida with no snow blizzards
I"ll be down your way next month.
Gonna go drink with the Mouse, catch a NXT show, visit Daytona an play putt putt. I like putt putt. I'm like the Tiger Woods of Putt Putt..well the good one. Not the one chased by his wife for sleeping with a bunch of chicks...
Sirscrapalot - A seahorse can move its eyes in opposite directions—all the better to scan the water for food and predators.
when your down this ways shout out perhaps a meet up of some sort the last time I play putput golf lost five balls and got kicked out
DakotaRog,
That's very accurate in my case this year as well. I can sit all day surrounded by apples, Scent lures, Gallons of Mineral lick liquid spread around over the past few months, use Grunt wheeze and bleat calls and Nothing. Then I head out after dark Get in the Truck start driving home and see multiple Doe standing by the the side if the road just looking looking at me like Ha HA City-Slicker not this time I may have to look for a new spot.
PS the Snow was Too Much after all 2 feet here and a huge 8-10 ordeal total to shovel it out of the way and nowhere to put it.
Here's a pic of The new WTC tower in NYC from the easternmost part of my town here in NE Jersey two months ago or so. This is our section of the NJ Meadowlands.right behind me, while taking this pic, lie two scrap yards. One for cars and one that takes metal scrap. Hurricane Sandy all but decimated this place. it was once teaming with fish and muskrats.

you guys have probably seen this video if not here it is
So thats what Brass does during the winter at work...
Your secret is out BC!
Sirscrapalot - Go go gadget skis.
This comment is a little late but, if you invest in a cheap plow, or even a snowblower, you will make bank..
In Maine we had an big ice storm in 1998, lots of broken trees and branches, power outages for a long time. So my stepdad, myself and a couple of his buddies went around town offering tree removal and cleanup, door-to-door. In 6 hours we made over $3500. After gas/oil for the chainsaws, trucks and a wood chipper, that's a hefty payday.
I never understand why everyone that lives the Snowbelt regions does not own one or all .
snow tires
snow chains
snow shovel.
bagged salt
chain saws
generator
wood stove
propane heater
I live in florida those are my ideas for what I would need or want
Ha ha...your a funny guy. Asking people to use commonsense an to prepare for winter! LOL
Craziness!
Here's my answer tho...I live on a sandbar an am protected from the weather that infects the "normal" people on the mainland. Plus...my county doesn't even own a plow. If I asked about snow chains I'd likely get laughed all the way across the bridge.
Your answer lies in a classic Doors song. People are strange.
Sirscrapalot - Soon, I shall drink tequila with a Mouse, a Duck, A dog in coveralls an three chipmunks. Don't hate.
I do have chains and a wood stove but 9" of snow is not the norm around here. It's usually 3 or 4" at the most.
