I powerwashed fiberglass, WHOOPS, how do I fix it

I powerwashed the inside of my fiberglass leer camper. Not thoroughly but for a good 3-5 min before I noticed it getting damaged

I believe I stripped off the gel coating and now there are loose fibers everywhere. Id like to sweep it out and reapply more coating

I asked if I could spray paint it to seal the fibers and Someone mentioned polyurethane and/or gel coating but the and/or part was never clarafied. i do have a polyurethane in a spray can, though.

All the internet sources speak on boat repair and I don't think it will see the same stresses as the hull of a boat.

a two part clear epoxy is what I have used to patch up fiberglass canoes.

What ever repair system you use you must have the area dry. NHscrapman's suggestion should work fine. You can also use fiberglass resin with hardener. Gel coat is the same stuff with additional fillers to make it smoother. Also its easier to add color to the gel coat.

Like most things in life its the basics that you need to do well. Like I said it needs to be dry otherwise you can seal in moisture that will migrate further into the fiberglass de-laminating it. Also take a look at youtube for videos of how to repair fiberglass. Mike
