Minelab detectors are well known to be high quality. Yes I own one.

If you are interested check out the water detecting section of this forum.

I go metal detecting when I go on vacation at the beach. Usually the Jersey Shore, Sometimes Rhode Island.
I have a mid grade Bounty Hunter but I am looking to upgrade to a Whites ( USA made) I only use mine for beach hunting and I find a lot of change , jewelry and keys. Best finds so far were a diamond solitaire ring 14k and last year I found a large sterling silver butterfly ring, and a watch . This year on the Jersey Shore I found a cell phone and got a $20 reward !. I do it mostly for the fun of it but sometimes it pays off. My Aunt used to walk Daytona Beach Florida and score big time.

If you are serious about detecting saltwater beaches read up on Pulse Induction and Multi-frequency machines. Check out the links I provided and read. I have many years experience but the guys on the forums are currently detecting. 73, Mike
