do remember...no idea if this is what is going on, BUT the seller CAN add a "handling" charge. I typically do $1-2 for my time to box it etc. If you bought it at a local auction, then shipping is what it is and the buyer should pay for it. If you bought it ON EBAY to be shipped to you, then you would have seen the ENTIRE COST before bidding, assuming you put your zip code in.

PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell

Look at the very bottom on your Fedex quotes....you want FedEx Home Delivery....NOT express saver (which saves you nothing). Drop off at your nearest location.

It should be around $50, it's showing at $46.40 for me.

How the # is any small business to make any money with those stupidly high prices ?!
(( and before you comment - LTL shippers are *not* cheaper than UPS/FedEx/USPS in this case ))
Well ... the shipping costs might be higher or they might be lower.

The thing is that it's all part of the game. Sometimes you win. Sometimes the cost of doing business is such that a certain thing really isn't worth doing. There's no point in getting mad just because it didn't pan out the way you hoped it would. Take it as a lesson learned and move on to something else that might be more profitable.
