Using it all up!! "Exotic" Meat

I know there are those on SMF that view their scrapping activities as an extension of "living off of the world". Some may already know that old chisel tooth or flat tail (I'm sure the sex jokes will show up sooner than later if I used its most common name) can make great table fare. Anyway, came across this video on one my trapping forums. This guy uses up the old chisel tooth much further than I have ever done. These rodents live about anywhere as long as there is some running water around. So, if you're trying to stretch a dollar further and can trap, shoot, or barter this critter's meat, I'd recommend it!!

20 hours later and no jokes yet?
I always enjoy reading your posts, keep'em coming.
I did click on the link and watched some of the videos. Some of the titles were very interesting.
I was going to list some of the titles but I decided not to.

Most chisel tooth recipes turn it into something akin to roast beef. I don't think that's the flavor Hobo was anticipating...

Thanks RLS0812 for the vid!! I probably should have eaten a lot more mrat than I have. To me it tastes a lot like non-mallard wild duck so if you're into that flavor, then mrats are pretty good. I'll occasionally take the back legs off of a fewer larger ones that I catch and cook them up. If I was protein limited and/or really trying to stretch a buck, I'd be cleaning them all up like those guys did. Muskrat is another very common urban-metro water animal that is easy to catch. Some states allow "colony" traps which basically look like a wire fish trap open on both ends. For some reason mrats usually can't figure out how to get out of them and drown. Place in pinch points, such as culverts, between water bodies, and you might clean up. No danger to people or pets unless you have a pet mink you have out swimming around.
