Blazeing Speed with alternative web browser

Anyone else experiencing freezing browsers, slow loading pages. Both Firefox and Chrome have been acting goofy so I decided to look for an alternative browser. The first one called Yandex was developed in Russia, thought what the heck I'll try it out.

This browser is in Russian language but easy to figure out, and the best part is that this browser is lightning quick in loading a web page and in doing a search, I',m going to look for the English version.

With this browsers performance It's not doing any tracking.

With us it's more about bandwidth because we're rural. Our DSL can handle one computer somewhat well but it really slows down when two are logged on. Another major offender is Win 10 update. It decides it's own update schedule and if you are in the middle of something you might as well forget about it. Your machine is apt to be tied up doing something else for awhile.

It got so bad that i finally got fed up with it and disabled win 10 update in services.

If you are getting slowdowns and freeze ups it might be out in the network. speedtest.net can give you objective upload & download speeds.

It might be in the machine somewhere. Userbenchmark.com can run an analysis on your hardware and let you know if there's a bottleneck somewhere.

Sometimes it's in the software like your operating system or browser. CCleaner does a pretty good job of keeping things running smoothly.

Best part .... it's all free to use.

Yandex definitely cleared up being slow, the browser once installed defaults to Russian language under settings you can change language to English.

This is an incredible browser you have to try the windows version to see for yourself the difference it makes, but them maybe nothing fix's win 10.

It gets complicated with a pc because the most popular browsers tie in directly with how the operating system works. Ubantu works differently in the way it does it's record keeping.

I work with a lot of different windows operating systems on a regular basis. Some folks are of the opinion the Win 10 is really something special but so far i'm just not seeing it. It reminds me more of win 3.1, Vista, and 8.0. It seems like there are a lot of problems that have to be sorted through to make it work right.

To be completely honest though .... i just don't trust Russian or Chinese software. It's safe to assume that all browsers gather metadata and feed that back to a centralized server somewhere. We know that there's money in collecting that data and selling it to third parties. I feel that i would trust Microsoft ( American founded ) to distribute that info in a way that doesn't run counter to American interests.

I'm not so sure i would trust an unknown Russian entity with that info. The cold war is over, but we aren't getting along all with the Russians these days.

Certain news items disbarging a certain political is being supressed as fast as it's being posted online, this in part is why our made in Amercia browsers are currently freezing up and or crashing.

Using Tor or this new Yandex browser has eliminated those issues for me at least.

Trusting Microsoft now that is funny especially since its rumored they have built in a back door to theor operating system

I can't seem to make the connection between this and a web browser.

I suppose you could find fault with both sides but what it all comes down to is that we're all bad guys. It's a jungle out there. It's always been that way from day one. You gotta do what you gotta do. It's nothing personal when the other guy does what he does to further his own self interest.

How is this burying one's head in the sand ?

I read it through. Not sure that he presents a convincing argument but it's just common sense that Microsoft would install a backdoor into their software.

Let's be honest : You should pretty much expect that everything you do with your computer is documented. Big Brother IS watching.

The rest is just vanity. Why would anyone possibly care about what you do or say as long as you don't pose a credible threat to the powers that be ?

Is the NSA working hand in glove with Microsoft ? The most likely answer is yes. Cyber security is vital to our national interest. They wouldn't be doing their job of they weren't keeping tabs on things.

I would expect the same thing with the Yandex browser and the Russian intelligence services.
