I run illustrator and photoshop exclusively...but YES the learning curve is pretty steep (well for some things). The best part is you have very granular control over things...you can REALLY change **** near anything. If you are doing photography LIGHTROOM is where it is at...miracles happen in that program (I have seen a dark night picture turned into a day picture in 15 min).
I also do graphic design on the side as well and have a portfolio to back it up (ie people have paid me for my work
). I am not an "artist" in that I cannot draw well...but I am a CHAMP at layout and can make stuff look pretty **** good generally.
Anyways, good 1st efforts Kane333...keep learning, it never ends with that stuff...youtube is a godsend and lynda.com has classes on TONS of software for a VERY small monthly fee...it is wotth it.
